I wouldn’t have been very old, maybe 4 or 5, when I remember stopping by to visit with my Busia (she lived downstairs from us in the first floor flat). She was making homemade noodles. My uncles had strung a clothesline in a zigzag pattern in the kitchen, and she had hung the majority of these noodles on the lines. The overflow got draped onto chair backs, bedspreads and any available spot. It was exciting to see, especially for a little girl, And when those noodles ran out, she would repeat the process all over again. Funny, but I don’t do grains, and there is no recipe. I suspect it is because she never really learned to speak or write in English. Or there may have been no recipe, just a dash of this and a bit of that. --Henrietta circa 1937
Love your page and the story behind it! Do you mind sharing what font did you use for the journaling? I used to have it in my old computer but forgot its name.
@IntenseMagic @zakirahazakaria @marijke Thank you all. @zakirahzakaria The font was new to me. I saw it on a layout last week and had to have it. I found it free on the web. It is Autography.
