@Sokee I ended up deciding on Social Welfare. It was a limited program, and I got in. And then I left with my DH to be. He is 4 years older than I am. So I never did finish, but that's okay. I don't think I would have liked social work, and I do love my job as a system analyst.
@AnneofAlamo Funny story about Jeff. We broke up, we were getting too serious & I apparently was a major distraction for his schooling... (But I do have some awesome photos of the two of us that I found when I was looking for a younger me, trying to figure out if it would be appropriate to scrap some of them...) Fast forward 20+ years. I am married to John, we received a comprehensive U of I alumni directory & people shared where they were, what they were doing, etc. Out of curiosity I looked up Jeff's name, he was in the directory & living in Hawaii. I gave John a hard time about it, yep, instead of Hawaii, I'm living in the Midwest. Not much of a comparison. We laughed. I still tease him about that. And yes, I still like rocks.
