I had read about the Berlin Candy Bomber coming to Orem and doing a special run to celebrate the Fourth of July. His name was Gail Halvorsen aka Uncle Wiggly Wings. I didn’t know anything about him, but Sharon had told me to take Matthew - it would be a once in a lifetime experience. I started to see it accumulate a lot of attention on Facebook and the news. So, I decided to take Matthew and go. Matthew wasn’t pleased to be waiting. It was hot, and we had to get there a little early, so it took a lot of waiting! Matthew was too young to go and try to grab a parachute, but I bought him a candy bar later. There ended up being so many people, they had to limit the age to run into the field. I did convince a stranger to let me take a photo of the parachute! Luckily, I was able to park in the ServerPlus parking lot, so we were able to get in and out easily.
You have some great photos from the event. And loved reading your journaling - great storytelling! Love the title work and the clean lines to your design. Wonderful page! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
