Of all the pictures that we have of Dalton's graduation, this is the one that literally took my breath away. It epitomizes everything that graduating high school stands for and it still brings tears to my eyes a year later.
Journaling reads:
After the commencement and the congratulations and the pictures were all over, you removed your cap and started to walk toward the high school to go gather up your things for the last
time. As I watched you walk away, I felt my eyes fill with tears and a lump come up in my throat. My baby, my boy...was officially an adult. Even though you’ve been 18 for a while now, you were still in school so it didn’t seem like it was “official”. Even though your two older brothers have already graduated; for some reason, this hit me harder than anything. I wanted to reach out and grab you and never let you go. But I bit my tongue and I held my tears and I let you go. Follow your dreams my son. May they all come true. I love you.

this is truly amazing, love the non posed- different way the photo portraits the events, love the journaling... I had a similar feeling with my daughter (she is 20 now) but seeing g them take charge of their lives is equally amazing ...though sometimes I wish we were back to when she was 4 and I was washing her hair and teaching her to sing.... gorgeous page, love the colours you choose, everything here is delightful!!!
