I made this for the November Photography Challenge. I wanted to explain what goes in my head with London's weather, but I think it got a bit too much LOL I couldn't decide so I am posting the other one I made too!!!
Journaling reads :contrary to the world's opinion England isn't all that bad at weather. Well, of course, if you, like me, were born in the tropics and spent most of your life in summer, it can be tricky at first. I was, indeed, very ill the first time in London and got a very bad cold after standing in the Earls Court underground station for 20 minutes waiting for one of my friends who had got lost in the depths of the circle line (another common experience for first time visitors!) having the "pleasure" of spending 3 days in bed whilst my room mate (a Moroccan girl whom I had ever met before going to rent the room) looked after me with a care that made me feel almost at home, hot tea and bought me something called night & day nurse…The stories are many, but after years of becoming more English than I ever thought I could, I have learned to love the crisp, cold but sunny days of fall, or the even colder but sunny, blue skied winter in this city…and even missed it when spending some in summer… There are of course, those days of annoying, thin, irritating rain that makes a Brazilian heart travel to afternoons of Avenida Paulista, (Sao Paulo is famous for the "garua" that kind of irritating rain) or those very very cold days with snow that isn't quiet snow but stops a city not quiet equipped for it…all in all, the summer this year was almost tropical (shame we have no decent beache sin London) and the winter, though torturing my bones and joints.. has been trying to get in earlier but we have coped greatly with some amazing central heating… so lets say the weather too is on my gratitude list!!!!! TFL!!!!
You just took my breath away! What can I say? Your page (once again) is perfect! I love the perspective of the photo, the journaling is so heart felt, I'm just speechless again! I scroll up again and again to look at it one more time.
