My daughter went to school there for a semester and fell in love too. She has a strong pull to the city as well and talks about wanting to live there one day when she starts her career. I fell in love w/it when I visited her several times. So much to love. Very different from NYC. I was sad when she decided to transfer!

Well, I was born & raised in Chicago. My friends and I would travel the city that would probably never be allowed now. But it felt safe, and it actually was. I went to museums, shopped the loop, went to restaurants, concerts, much of it as a very young teenager. But I moved away & now live outside of a very small town, in the country. I went from one extreme to another. Chicago is a great city, has much to offer. I appreciated reading your journaling and seeing your photos. May it always be special to you.
