Art Journaling Chat and Challenge
Oh no, I, Anne of Alamo, have been given the keys to the chat room again! bwha hahah, yes, my evil plan to take over the-Lily Pad is in place…
<insert screeching  sound>
Wait! I don’t want to take over the-Lily Pad, I don’t. Â I think the big bosses of the applesauce are doing a superb job.Â
(blatant attempt to keep my Polly status active here)  But you know they are doing fantastic, because the forum and gallery are hoppin’, and people are scrappin, chatting and all around happy at the-Lily Pad! What I do want to do, is to challenge you in new realms, even you die hard been art journaling on your diaper artists!  See I know you are out there too, and I love you because you showed me the joy of art journaling. I think it is time to share our love with those that look on in wonder and amazement.  They want to, but ponder the big question: What if mine isn’t good enough?
I want to put that fear aside with this answer, your page will NEVER ever, ever in a million years be good enough.  Aw, now doesn’t that feel better? I know, I had to come to the conclusion, I have to go;  “Page, I am now done with you, you are gonna have to deal with my inability to be perfect.”  Guess what? The page agrees whole hardheartedly and screams, “Put me in a gallery so others will be inspired to attempt this too!!!!”  You see, I was never an artist, I would doodle as a kid, but not like some folks whose pages of doodles could be framed and ooh and awed over in museums. I was more, I am bored, let me scribble and play kinda gal. Art Journaling came on the scene and it totally caught my eye, but the big names and wild and wonderful pages scared me back to my land of comfy pages. There was something special on their pages, that the normal 3 pics, cluster and journaling didn’t show to me. (but hey now, I love a good cluster and page of memories too). Everyone has their own style or no style, but the great part is that it bleeds onto your regular memory scraps and you will find your pages evolving too
INSERT DISCLAIMER-Art Journaling is not better than memory scrapping, it is just different, and (hold the presses) it can be the same thing sometimes.Â
<insert shiver of happy>
So…see this way cool ad below vvvvvvvv (how come there is a < key, a > key and a ^ key, but I have to use a lower case v for down?)

I sometimes wander in my thoughts, but am so focused on having fun and sharing my love of Art Journaling, I get to host a challenge all through June.  Every Friday, at 11am EDT/8am PDT, in the chat room at the-Lily Pad.  We are going to talk about art journaling, and build a page.  Yep, it is going to take 4 weeks to make one page.  That is because there is a twist to it! I love twists.  Each week, I will give the instructions, and you will add to your page.  At the end of the month, plus a few days for finishing your complete page, deadline being  by July 3rd, 2013, midnight EDT. Michelle Godin will give all that completed each level a gift. Then one lucky winner will be randomly drawn from the ART Journal Challenge Thread for Gift Certificate.!! Plus you will be so addicted to Art Journaling you will be smiling from ear to ear!Â
Not to worry: Â You DO NOT have to be in the chat. Â I will post each weeks instructions in THIS thread after the wild and crazy chat. Â But, golly if you can come to the chat, please do, cause we will laugh and get to know each other a bit more.
My wish is this post causes you to stop and wonder if you watered your plants yesterday…no, no, that is not my wish. Â My wish is that you laugh and are able to play with me at the-Lily Pad and find that Art Journaling is not scary (for the new) or that I show a new way of doing something you already love and enjoy.
