Storyteller 2016 :: Another Year Kit Collab - September Add-on

I'm excited to welcome Jana McCarthy out of designing retirement for this month's collaboration- Another Year! 

As September continues, my thoughts drift to the upcoming year's end and seasonal changes, the add-on's autumnal colors help welcome this season of introspection and thankfulness. Red-orange, yellow, yellow-orange, green, teal, violet and bits of indigo are accented by greige, kraft, white and pops of black to bring the Autumn season to life this month.  Watercolor painted floral paper mixes with on-trend messy stripes and plaid, along with polka dots, ticking stripes, herringbone, chevron, stamped hearts and stencilled letter backgrounds.

Two papers that really stand out are both gradients- one is orange, yellow and white and reminiscent of candy corn, the other is purple tones in a radiating pattern from dark violet to the palest lilac. The solids this month are subtly watercolored with messy drips and drops- perfect for this season of wind-blown leaves and crisp air.  The alpha is a hand-drawn style, including uppers, lowers and numbers.

Texture is key in the element pack- many chipboard pieces will add depth to your projects, while cork and burlap help continue the autumn theme. Hand-painted florals mix with hand-drawn doodles to compliment your pages. Barnwood elements and painted scatters combine for interest and the sense of time passing quickly as the year comes to a close.
