I used the Metal Rim Style and a Glitter Scatter Style. I played around a little with fill, opacity, etc and I don't know exactly what I did. I like the end result though.
A few years ago, I was just starting to digiscrap and a lovely designer (Mommyish) gave away styles in a challange. I had no idea how to use them or what they could do. I figured out the loading and tried them. Magic, magic MAGIC! I think using styles on my titles is my favorite...I hate, hate lining up alphas, but I love the look of alphas, and styles has solved my problems!!!
The original "Hygge" alpha was Crinkled Alpha by Amy Wolff, I clipped some Just Jaimee papers to it, and used the "overlay" setting to try and preserve some of the "crinkle" of the original. It showed up more before I added the metal rim style to the outside, but I still like the effect.
This was a challenge! I work in PSP, I made a cutout in 2 different papers & resized the one on top so it's a bit smaller, than added a layer propertie: outer bevel
for new years eve title is used clipped papers and TLP style challenge freebie (metal rim) by Mommyish
shenanigans, I doubled it and on top layer I used stylin 83 by Mommyish with opacity of 55
For my title I used the font "Sprightly" applied Glitter Wood Style #214 & Style #72 by mommyish to letterpress it.I also clipped a paper to the letterpressed part.
I use paint shop pro, so the freebies did not work in my program, BUT I did learn how to do this playing around recently. In fact I used this technique on my last layout for the word Grand girls! I love it!! It made a plain font something awesome when I added the glitter sheets freebie from Sahlin Studio to it. It makes some of those chunkier fonts something special!
For "DO OR" I filled it with a striped paper and then applied a mosaic tile surface to it (it reminds me of a terry cloth towel). For "DYE" I filled it with a close-up photo of my daughter's dyed palms and applied a 3-D edge to it. Is this creepy or cool? I am a bit weirded out by it.
