Say you were on death row..
what would you wish for your last meal?

Mine I would have a nice huge meal..

A sesame ginger flank steak cooked med
some mashed potatoes covered in gravy
a bread stick (probably cheese stuffed)
fruit salad with strawberries, pineapples, kiwi, blue berries, raspberries and oranges and maybe banana.. *L*
some salad with chunkky blue cheese dressing.. and all my favorite toppings

a pina colada to drink ....

and a big slice of keylime pie or eric's mom's fudge pie for desert.. *L*

(YES I am hungry.. and this post is making me even more hungry)

I didn't know this was a thing. And then I moved to Indiana. And learned it's like a regional thing? Bosco sticks - Everyone kept asking if we'd had a Bosco yet?

I am not sure? I am from Wisconsin so a lot of things have cheese around here.. *L*
I thought cheese bread sticks were a thing everywhere? I buy them at the grocery store fresh from the deli to make.. or when in a bind.. even the freezer section has them near the texas toast! .. they are our favorite with spaghetti or other pastas..

Not that I know of. We bought some in the freezer section. I think it's a midwestern thing? I don't remember them when we lived in Massachusetts, and I know I hadn't seen them in the west. They are good with Spaghetti!

Now I am gonna have to ask all my friends from other states if they have them where they live.. *L*.. cause they are so darn good!

I love all the things I learn at the Pad! Like when I learned Australia doesn't have yellow cheese like the US from Justine! @bellbird

@gonewiththewind - what are zipper peas?

@dotcomkari & @bestcee - I grew up in Michigan, which I consider Midwest and have no idea of what bread sticks stuffed with cheese are. Sounds good though. Speaking of cheese, Costco, many years ago, was frying the solid Mexican cheese (queso fresco) in the store as samples. It holds it shape and is like a grilled cheese sandwich without the bread. We eat it from time to time.

Hmm, probably a good medium rare filet mignon steak, baked potato with everything, salad, and some death by chocolate desert.

Gosh, that's tough...
If it was my last meal, it would likely be a carb-fest of like dumplings, mac & cheese, more pasta. I'd probably have to have some cheesy hashbrowns like they have a Cracker Barrel with a side of greens. Dessert would be Key Lime Pie and to drink, either a big ole McD's sweet tea or a cold fountain Coke.

This is one of the frozen kinds I buy sometimes.. Walmart even has their own version of the cheese stuffed ones.. here.. in Wisconsin!

but the fresh ones from the deli are the best..

Well...
Lobster, king’s food host onion rings (the chain closed 40 years ago), cream brûlée, and my Mom’s apple dumplings.
I’ll have a raspberry margarita to wash it down. ❤️❤️

mmm I have never had a raspberry margarita but it sounds divine! I do love me a good margarita!

I have been on strict keto since September, so last meal would be
Two Bavarian cream filled donuts with chocolate icing. I would have a large coffee with cream and real sugar. as they strapped me down I would be bouncing and shaking so hard from the sugar rush. I could not be killed. I would receive a pardon and open a donut shop!

I'm sure I'd have a different answer if you asked me again tomorrow, but right now I'd go with hurricane chicken with risotto, and some roasted parsnips and honey-roasted carrots, and a bottomless glass of peach tea (from Red Lobster, 'cause theirs is the best), with my mom's cheesecake for dessert.

Some of the local pizza places and drive thru carryouts have Mozzarella Cheese Sticks on the menu (I'm in Ohio). They serve them with marinara sauce.

As for my last meal, probably the same thing I want for my first meal(s) when I can start eating non-soft food again!

Prime Rib with a slice or 2 of ham and pineapple pizza. Fried potato skins would be a nice side dish as well.

(Can you tell what I haven't been able to eat for 3 years????)
