This is totally a just for fun thing. So in the ongoing 'do we really need to keep these?' cleaning, a crazy amount of Littlest Pet Shops came out of various cupboards and crates in the toy room that DD had collected when she was in primary school and when i mentioned those to her, she told me about this 'thing' where you type into google 'littlest pet shop' and then your birthday (month as a number and day as a number) and it shows you basically you as a Littlest Pet Shop (read: cute animal toy), so of course, we did that!

Now here's where it got interesting (to us at least)

Because we write the date as day then month, we did it for ourselves with both sets of numbers - so for me (and Anne ofAlamo!) that have a birthday on the 24th of Nov, I typed in 'littlestpetshop 1124' and also 'littlestpetshop 2411' and both times, me as a pet is a bird!

So as 2411 how I'd write my birthday, i'm a swan (although to me, it looks more like a turkey and that feels fitting somehow anyway)

and as Anne would write our birthday, with the month first, we're a pigeon from a multipack i think, a bit harder to find a good image of and there's some disagreement if we're blue, grey or green but anyway.

My daughter is also a bird (either a parakeet or a rather pretty quail)

So if you want to give this a go, i'd be interested to see does your animal reflect you too?

I got a clownfish (Nemo) or yorkie and I'd say neither match me.

I have never even heard of these pets. Would have preferred a Siamese cat - but a cute dog will do.
i don't know that they are 'in' at the moment, i remember my cousins liking them maybe in the mid 90's and they might have been 'relaunched' in the 2000's? You are definitely cute as a dog and i think the earthy tones suit you!

A yorkie is a dog. :) I have very little knowledge of either as well.
well nemo (and marlin) were pretty cool - i seem to channel dory more myself (TMI but i had dory as a lockscreen on my phone for several months like in winter last year saying 'just keep swimming', words to live by, y'know)

I'm a forgetful Dory haha I love water animals so I was pretty happy with a clown fish. I'm definitely a helicopter parent like Marlin haha

My older son turns 13 next week. His is an adorable little dragonfly. In real life, I'm always amazed by the beauty & structure of these creatures. Anyway, I found one on eBay & ordered it for him. He loves symbolism & will get a kick out of it.

I don't like my younger son's at all. I've worked in Ophthalmology for years. This cat's eyes are strange. It looks like swelling in the left lower lid & makes me feel it may have a stye.
