So I'll share a little bus story with you and maybe it will make you feel better about this week....
My oldest (and my first) DD was 5 and going to Kindergarten in the afternoon. And she would not get ready to save her life when I told her to. She just dragged her feet when it came to brushing her hair and putting on her shoes. Oye. It was not fun. So one day I told her "either you get ready right now or you are going to the bus just the way you are". And sure enough, there I was dragging her to the bus, one shoe on, one sock on, holding her other shoe in her hand and hair a mess. And before I could even explain, the bus driver said "they gotta learn." LOL I think they totally see it all and generally sympathize.
(p.s. after getting her on the bus, I totally called my Mom bawling. But my DD so learned. At 16 she is out there before I can even remind her, lol.)
