YAY! The transfer we asked for was approved!

Congratulations! I grew up on the east coast, and though I wouldn't move out of Texas now for anything, it's this time of year I miss the most - those beautiful leaves turning colors, picking apples, wearing sweaters and hearing that "crunch-crunch" of dead leaves under foot. Sigh. Enjoy every moment!

I love this!! Many of those images are fairly close to where I live and sometimes I forget just how beautiful it is since I see it every day.

Congratulations, @StarryEyedDesigns :) Hope you find the perfect place for you!! So happy you'll be closer to family. My only advice would be to imagine whatever place you choose in the snow lol I bought a house in the spring at the bottom of a hill, with several other hills leading to it, and didn't really think about what it was going to be like getting out in the winter. It's been tricky many times. State maintained roads stay in good shape, but the back roads can be messy for awhile. Good luck with everything!!
 
Congrats!!! Thats such AMAZING news!!!! There is nothing like being close(ish) to home!
 
so happy for you guys! being near "home" when you want it badly is such a special thing. glad you will be able to hop in the car every now and again to drive to family. congrats and good luck with the planning/moving!!! When are you expected to make the big move?

Well hubby is at the main office today and tomorrow for big meetings, in Colorado. He just told me tonight that it might actually be North Carolina...lol I said I don't care as long as it's close to home. NC is a little farther than WV, but it's still within a one day driving distance, and we'll be closer to other friends we haven't seen in a long time too.

Anyway, I'll keep y'all updated...lol
 
oh AmyLee, so so glad to hear!!!! I remember you posting about the move...and I know what it is like to be very far from family (we are 14 hours flight away!)
so happy for you!!!!
I always thought when we needed to move to a completely different place (as moving became extremely stressful over the years) of the move like a change for a new fresh beginning and an adventure to meet new people and places.....
hope yours is a great one!!!!
