There are lots of cycleways in our town although they can be a bot disjointed with gaps where there are none. Also sometimes they can double the length of a journey because of the route they take. Many of the old railway lines in the UK have been turned into cycle tracks.

I do have a bicycle. I bought it in 1998. (Not a typo.) I rarely ride it and when I do, it's for pleasure. I would love to live in a cycling friendly location and ride often though! My town has zero dedicated bike lanes, and much of the county I live in is still quite rural, so it's unsafe for both pedestrians and cyclists, sadly.

Do you have a bicycle? I do not.

We actually do have lots of cyclists here where I live, and I had to get used to watching out for them when I relocated here as they share the roadways (but there is a bike lane in most places). We also have a path that follows our dry river beds that goes pretty much around the whole city. There is actually a Tour de Tucson every year in the fall that is well attended - the entire distance covers 102 miles, but they also register for shorter distances.

Haven't had a bicycle for many years, When I did get rid of the ones we had (one each for Dad, Mom and I), I hadn't ridden it for many, many years! It's probably been 40 years since I've been on one.

I do see bicycle riders in town but it seems to mostly be kids. Around here street legal golf carts have become the vehicle of choice for many older adults.

Riding a bike is like breathing! I brings me such peace and happiness! I usually rude alone and have one earphone in and sing music from Tge Greatest Showman at the top of my lungs!! We have great roads with lanes most places! People are very kind and friendly. My hair is mostly white, my face usually very pink and I try and smile and wave!

Do you have a bicycle? I do, but it is put up in the shed because I don't have room to store it in the garage for easy access.

Do you ride for pleasure or transport? Normally, when I rode, it was for pleasure/exercise. My ex was a long-distance cyclist (I'm talking 60-100 mile rides per day), but I could never keep up with him. I wish I had a place to store my bike that I could get to it quickly! I miss bike riding. I kind of got put off by it, though, when I was riding home one day and someone threw a large, fully filled soda cup at me. Like, why?

Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? Eugene, Oregon, prides itself on its multi-use pathways throughout town. We have bike lanes everywhere! I can get on the path closest to my house and ride out into the wetlands or down into town.

Do you have a bicycle? Yes, I have a mountain bike and an E-bike

Do you ride for pleasure or transport? Just for pleasure. It's been too long since I've been out on either of them!

Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? We do have some bike lanes, but not on all the roads. There is a dedicated bike path along the river that I like to ride on. There are a lot of hills where I live, so I love the E-bike for that!

Do you have a bicycle? Not anymore! I did have one but hubby sold it after I hadn't been on it in over two years :giggle
Do you ride for pleasure or transport? I used to ride for pleasure but my hubby rides in things like the Bridge to bay or the Tour De Brisbane
Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? Yes we are very lucky to have a lot of bike paths in Brisbane. I'm not sure I would like to ride a bike in the centre of the city though.

Do you have a bicycle? I do and I love it! I got rid of my mountain bike and bought a hybrid kind that's more for roads and old people. :giggle It's the kind that I sit more upright on and it's so much more comfortable than my old mountain bike!

Do you ride for pleasure or transport? Mostly pleasure, but some transport when the weather is nice.

Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? Our little city (of 8,000) has lots of sidewalks that we can ride on, but the roads are pretty good for biking too. Near downtown there is a nice bike lane on both sides of the road which is really handy because there are lots of walking people on the sidewalks near there too. My hubby and I ride around a lot more in the summer because we have a beach town and there are a lot of tourists in the summer, so there's no parking and it's easier to just ride the 1.5 miles to town.

Do you have a bicycle? I do, but it usually only comes out when we go camping because it's in the back of the camping trailer.
Do you ride for pleasure or transport? Not really, only for pleasure when we are on a trip.
Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? No. It's not a great place for bike riding. It's a small town, but the sidewalks are all messed up, and there aren't any trails or paths or anything. We do have a small park with one loop (very small, takes about 3 minutes to walk around it), but it is so bumpy and difficult to get there that I just never do it.

Pleasure

We have bike lanes on some roads and bike trails near the lake and up the canyon. I usually just ride to the park and back with my son.

Do you have a bicycle? Yes, a mountain bike from 1992.

Do you ride for pleasure or transport? When we were younger (before kids), we lived in downtown Toronto and used to ride to dh's slow pitch games - about a 20 km trip if you count both ways and all on bike trails. Now I can't ride because ever since I had carpal tunnel surgery my hands go numb when I lean on the bike handles.

Do you have special cycleways/cycle tracks where you live? There are bike trails all over our small town, it really is a shame I can't ride anymore.
