Hi everyone and welcome to the last week of October’s challenge. So far this month we have created art inspired by Birds in week 1, Dragonflies in week 2 and Butterflies in week 3. To finish off this month of Winged Things we will dive into the fascinating world of Bees.
Before we start, I just wanted to remind everyone that while there are four weekly challenges each month, you only need to complete one layout for the month to be eligible to go into the draw for the coupon prize. Your layout can be for one of the week's challenges or you can create one layout using all the week's inspirations, totally your choice!

Okay, let's get started.
Week 4: Bees
While we are all familiar with bees buzzing around our gardens would you be surprised to learn that world wide there are some 20,000 different species of them, both large and small! Apart from their essential work within our ecosystems, bees are also major pollinators of a lot of our staple foods and include native bee species as well as the common honey bees. It also a scary thought that these fascinating and important little creatures are in deline due to habitat loss and use of pesticides. So if you can, plant some bee friendly plants in your garden to help them.

In symbolic terms, Bees represent hard work, teamwork, communication and the sacred feminine. As nature's alchemists, architects and matriarchs they also represent divine love and creation, enabling us to see how everything in life fits into a greater plan, purpose and place. Bees can also spiritually represent fertility, birth, growth, new beginnings and new life.
I have gathered together some bee images and quotes to create this inspiration for you, which hopefully might give you some ideas to create your own page.
Week 4 Challenge:
Your challenge this week is to create a layout about something associated with bees. Your page should feature bees, a bee hive or anything else associated with a bee or bees in general. You can use the inspiration board above if you like, or another image, photo, sketch etc. Of course you can utilise all of your creative techniques to blend your images, mask them or run an action on them first, what ever you want to do, but I do need to discern that there is something associated with bees, on your page.

Here is my layout:
This month I worked on one layout but scrapped a section for each week. I also challenged myself to use the same tones and included a small photo taken by myself. The first image shows just the last section I did for this week, featuring a photo of a bee in my garden.
The next image shows the completed layout with all four weeks done. I finished it off with a bookplate in the middle! Had LOTS of fun with this month's challenge!
