One of the scariest movies I've ever watched is The Wicker Man, a 1973 British horror film cult classic. By the end of the film, I was cowering in a corner of the couch, a couch cushion shielding my eyes from the unfolding horror!

I am not a fan of scary movies...as I don't like being scared...Maybe that's because I feel my life is scary enough with all of my scary & painful health issues in real life...I still remember the Omen series of movies when I was a kid...scared me then [gave me nightmares]...but maybe by today's standards they aren't that scary anymore...I especially don't like the gory movies either...I do like watching & trying to solve crime TV show dramas...and seeing the bad guys get what they deserve...like getting caught & ending up where they belong...in jail...

Yes! We just watched that one for the first time ever last year. It was a scary one! Did you watch the new one? We watched it because a friend of ours' brother wrote the screenplay for the new one. It wasn't as good as the first one though.

I'll have to check that out. I haven't heard of that movie. :agree

Beetlejuice is one of my favorite movies. I've watched it so many times. Funny enough, I haven't see the new one yet because I'm afraid it'll ruin the original. Lol. I also haven't seen From Dusk till Dawn... adding it to my list!

Oh gosh! I remember being at band camp in high school and they had us watch The Birds. So creepy and I didn't want to walk back to my cabin in the dark after that! I haven't see Night of the Living Dead yet though. Putting it on our list!

Oooh! The Sixth Sense was a good one! I did NOT see the ending coming at all!

Oooh... a series is even better. Thanks for the sugestion! I'll be checking that out! Good luck on not getting too scared!

Oh my gosh! I think Nightmare on Elm Street was my first ever scary movie. I watched it at a friends house on a sleepover and it scared me so bad I don't think I slept that whole night. :giggle Also loved all the Halloween movies. I haven't seen Salem's Lot though. Adding it to the list! :)

Silence of the Lambs was so good and scary too! I still haven't seen the Blair Witch project.

As much as I enjoy watching scary movie now, I started to watch The Shining one time when I was living alone and I had to turn it off. It was SOOOO scary! We finally watched it last year, but together, so I wasn't as scared. Lol.

I haven't seen any of the Annabelle or Conjuring stuff... I forgot about those. We'll have to check them out! Thanks! Also, haven't heard of As Abobe, So Below... sounds right up our alley. (Am I sounded deranged yet? :giggle)

11.22.63 was the first Stephen King book I ever read too! I loved it. I watched the short series TV show based on that book and it just wasn't as good. I have heard of The Stand, but I haven't see that one, so thanks for the idea! Adding it to the list!

I don't love the gory type scary movies as much either. I prefer the just scary ones. I'll have to check out Mayfair Witches. I used to read some of Anne Rice's books too.

Oooh... I don't think I've heard of that movie, but I love John Cusack! Thanks for the suggestion!

Awesome! Thanks for the ideas! :)

It is interesting to go back and watch something that was so scary when you were younger and then watch it again as an adult and realize it's not so scary anymore.

I haven't tried any asian horror movie or TV. Thanks for all the great suggestions! I'll have to check them out!

Oh gosh! That does sound scary! Adding it to the list! :)

We also love true crime shows where they catch the bad guys!

:giggle I know what you mean! I feel like me liking scary movies is some reflection on me being slightly weird and twisted! Lol. Thankfully we only watch these movie during October. Then we usually hunt for something happy and uplifting for awhile.
