i don't grump much about hubby, as he is an amazing dad and always helpful when i need him to help me get the kids to/from practices/games/whatever.

but.

tonight isaac had a lacrosse game that let out at 8:30. late for a school night for a bunch of 3rd graders, right? well, hubby and i had driven separately due to carpool circumstances. so i left from the game and ran to the grocery real quick-like, and he was going to take the 3 kiddos home, see that they got a shower or bath, and get them in bed. good plan.

when i got home at 9:30, the upstairs lights were on, the boys were sitting in isaac's room looking through their new yearbooks, and meagan hadn't even STARTED a bath yet. grrr!!! and where was hubby? in the basement, with headphones on, playing a shooter game with his buddies.

are you kidding me right now? so at 10:00, i have just managed to get my 5th, 3rd, and 1st graders in bed. oy! men!

Oh dear. That's something my hubby would do too! Sorry! Hopefully they aren't too destroyed tomorrow!

i don't think men get it... good intentions and all.. they're sometimes just oblivious

Yep...been there in that situation before. Grrr...sometimes I don't think they realize how hard it can be on the kids the next day (and on Mom).

ack. it makes me tired thinking about it.
sometimes they don't always think things through. LOL!

my husband would have put them to bed with no showers and I then I'd be stuck getting them up an hour early to get clean before school, lol! Men!

LOL!! I mean, sometimes you just have to laugh at the pure ignorance of men!! Apparently, he really needed to get to work on that game. bahahahaha

ugh..yeah I have dealt with this stuff before. Like La said they are just totally oblivious sometimes!

I love how men assume that once a child is out of diapers they have become fully self-sufficient. :giggle

Hubs will do that when he has both kids: flop down to do his genealogical work on the computer while the two of them are running around making messes and eating snacks and going in and out of the house. Hello?! It was like the Hunger Games up in my house.

We had to have a Come to Jesus talk before he saw the light. :whistle

in my house, men and common sense do not go together in the same sentence, unless I'm using it as in they have none!

they (for the most part anyway) are clueless!!

then again, they would say I stress too much about things that aren't important.

I hear ya on this subject! Good intentions & all that stuff.... I try to be understanding but I just don't know why my hubby can't just always do it my way!!! {totally kidding. well. mostly}
