Can someone please tell me why I thought it was a good idea to visit a yarn shop today and purchase a pattern and yarn to make a new hat? Why didn't I wait a week until I am done with all my MOC layouts? Now, I'm hopelessly addicted to knitting and haven't even started today's MOC layout! Horrors! Ugh. So, here is the hat I saw on Etsy that inspired my yarn shopping downfall. :)



I'm making mine in purples, grays and blues to match my coat. Good grief.
 
That is gorgeous! I made the "mistake" of cruising the book forum and now I have 3 new books screaming my name!

cause when I saw it, I almost pulled out my crochet hooks, and if it gets cold again tomorrow...it might happen just so I can scrap with it! bhhahha
 
That's cute! I like Anne's thinking. Isn't there a "use string or yarn" challenge coming up??? LOL
 
Oh yeah! I've wanted to use that kit ever since it came out, but I never remember to take pictures during or after I finish a project!

I can now go back to scrapping as I finished my hat today. Of course, I didn't make it long enough to be slouchy and I need even thicker yarn for the look I'm going for, so I'm going to make another one soon. But I think I should wait until February! LOL!

 
Karen that's adorable!! I love it! I knit my husband a beanie like this years ago and ended up wearing it this weekend (was a little too big for me). He says it's his fav hat! I might have to make another one! I hope I saved the pattern! lol

Ohhh I admire everyone who can knit and crochet! It looks so beautiful! :) I made some things when I was a kid because they taught us in elementary school but I forgot it all :( Your hat looks gorgeous Karen! I love those colors too.

I think you went shopping as a diversion! Kinda like the way I avoid housework, especially with the MOC excuse....
 
Thanks guys! I couldn't wait and ended up going and buying the thicker yarn and the hat is started and staring at me on my desk. I got a little behind on my MOC pages, so I HAVE to finish that first, but Saturday I'm going to cozy up on the couch and watch tv and knit! Can't wait! :)
