I was sitting here scrapping this afternoon while my husband was painting,we live right opposite the park and we could hear a commotion and a girl screaming,my husband said to me kaz is that the gypys causing trouble and when i looked up it was a girl screaming,a man had 2 staffordshire bull terriors (now we have a staffie and she is so placid but id never walk her without her lead on unless no one around) OFF a lead and they was attacking hers and the one had him round the neck and was not letting go,she was trying to kick the dog and hit him and the man was telling her off so i sent my husband over,he managed to dive on the dog and choke it so that it let go and all the man could say was oh im sorry about that and walked off,i fetched some water and towels for this dog to be cleaned up and they took it to the vets but i doubt that it will make it im hoping the police let us know,in the mean time the park keeper went after the man and the police have arrested him,i cant believe how irresponsible some people can be,he was not sticking around or leaving a contact number for her and the poor women was in bits

Wow. Isn't it crazy sometimes? I have this fear of big dogs especially when they aren't leashed. I am a runner & it terrifies me when I am out only to end up running from some lonely dog (it has happened more than once). I don't get it. Your husband was brave to try to help them.

i know looking back now he could of got hurt himself but terrifying to watch,so think ya just get stuck in,just cant believe the man carried on walking them,id be so apolagetic if it was mine that had done it

I cannot believe some peoples reactions to things, like this man. I am glad the police got him and I am glad your husband stepped in and is ok.

Oh wow that is just horrible. I feel so bad for that lady and her dog.

it's rediculous that all of that could have been avoided if that one man would have just been responsible and followed the rules. why some people feel that rules are for others but not for them is beyond me. i HOPE the poor poochy is okay.

How scary! :( I'm glad your husband is okay and it was great of him to step in and help the lady out. Honestly, that man needs to go to a dog park if he wants his dogs off a leash.

that is so scary. it bugs me so much when people don't keep their pups on a leash. it's one of the responsibilities of having one. :/

This is awful! And law or no law, that man acted irresponsibly and rudely. Your husband was very brave and I don't know if I would have let mine get in between two dogs, it is scary.

That is crazy. I cant believe that guy just walked off afterward!

Yeah keela it is law here to but obviously he thought he was above the law he even said to si I thought he was ok now didn't think he would do it again so it sounds like this wasn't the first time so why wasn't the dog put down last time,Christina looking back I don't think he was brave maybe stupid but being a dog owner and lover it was just instinct to try get him off and help the girl because she had no chance of doing it if he hadn't the dog would of died there and then,I still don't know what has happened to it yet
