I've read almost all the way through Total Money Makeover, and I am SO excited to get started! It has been quite a while since I've felt inspired to tackle my bills and bookwork! But that's my very near-future plan. Get bookwork squared away, set up a budget, and jump in!

We'll see how it goes, but I am feeling very empowered to do this!

Good for you! I only wish I could get motivated to make then actually follow a budget of some sort. It seems like there are always things that come up unexpectedly and suck up all the extra funds.

i'm finding it rather difficult to get past the 'budget' part. maybe not a good start. i just have this fear of spending our security blanket $$ to pay off the bit of debt we have. gaah!

Take his baby steps Rebecca - you can do it! It is hard to follow it all by the law of the letter, but if you pick away slowly and set your budget you can do it!
