Last night my 7 year old sat down and looked through our 2007 and 2008 albums for about 40 minutes. He's just getting good at reading and carefully read all the journaling on each page. It was so sweet! He was really enjoying reading about and reliving the memories. It was the first time I've felt like my scrapbooking wasn't just for me, that it was really appreciated by someone else. I mean, the kids look through my albums from time to time, but mostly they just look at the pictures for a minute here or there and then move on. Which is okay because the main reason I scrap is for myself. But it made me super happy that he was enjoying it too!

Do your kids or significant other read & look through your albums? Does your family appreciate your scrapbooking?

My kids haven't sat down in a long time to really look through some of my albums but yes, they have! I'm not a huge journaler but since I'm doing PL I am forcing myself to do more. It's hard (for me :giggle) My husband loves glancing through my PL album when I finish a week. He always says, "This is so cool!" :)

My kids love looking through the albums which is why my December Daily album is already falling apart LOL... But that's what it's for, so I don't mind and next year mine will be in an actual binder instead of it's own homemade cover LOL

My family likes looking at my pages on Facebook and if they come to my house for parties they look through them.

My son LOOOVES my Project Life this year and tries to help figure out what to put in it.

yes and it is very nice to have what you appreciated!! My hubby looks at my layouts the second he gets home from work :)

My hubby actually pulled out one of my albums about a month ago to look something up from our last vacation. Then we sat down in front of the fireplace and looked through another too. My Mother-in-law always looks through my newest books when I get them and my kids sometimes do to. :)

My sister is my biggest fan when it comes to viewing and loving on my layouts that I post on FB.

My kids love looking at printed layouts, which is why I'm trying to be better about printing my pages.

Hubby loves the calendars I make for him every year to take to work.

It feels good when people appreciate the results of this hobby that I love so much.

My mom, my sister and my SIL love getting scrapbooks every year for Christmas. My mom loves to show them off to her friends and my SIL has said it's her favorite gift she gets every year. :) Makes me very happy to see that they enjoy them!

My kids LOVE looking at my scrap pages and always ask if I've made new ones of them. It's so cute!

though my son is 2, he looks at them with me and he sees people like grandma and grandpa and will say people's names. i think he will really enjoy looking at them when he is older.

My kids love looking at them. I am so far behind in printing. Ugh. I think I need to set a goal and start printing 10 per week or something. Since I haven't actually been creating that many full size layouts lately should be doable.

My boys are by far the biggest 'appreciaters' of the scrapbooks. My husband likes them, and he always looks at them when I get new ones printed. Other than that, I think that most people don't really appreciate my scrapbooks, but I have reconciled myself to being the weird 'scrapbooker' :)

I post every one of my layouts to Flickr so that my daughter in college can see them. When she's home, she's the one I ask "Does this look good here? Or is it better without?" My son always looks at layouts as I'm doing them. When I get new things printed both of them will look through them.

The best is my dad and stepmom walk in the house and she asks "What new stuff have you done?" She's the one that got me my PL for Christmas so she always looks through it too.

My husband looks at pages when I finish them and reads the journaling and everything. My oldest daughter, who is 3.5, has started to come watch me scrapbook (if she happens to be awake) and asks me about the pictures and stuff. She likes looking through the albums that I have now, so I hope she will as she gets older too!

My mom, dad, and DH really love looking at my pages. They love that I'm documenting our lives.

I have only ever printed one year's worth – 2005. :blush DD will often pull out that album and look through it though. I do have my layouts set up to run on my screensaver, and both kids will sit and watch those from time to time. And they both like to offer input and suggestions for layouts. I also get lots of wonderful comments from family about the ones I share online. :)

DH will tell his friends all about what I do, and often force me to show them when they come over. He's obviously proud, and it's good to be appreciated, even if it's a bit embarrassing at times. :giggle

Oh yes, my scrapbooks get admired, giggled at, and even shed tears over.... In fact the other day, my teen daughter had her "boyfriend" over for dinner and she pulled out a couple of my scrapbooks from when she was little. They both had a great time looking at them. Oh, and on holiday gatherings, they always get pulled out by family members.

My kids want to look at their albums all the time, but I only let them get them down once in a while. FOr one thing I want them to be careful with them, and also I want them to feel that it is special to look through and talk about all the things we've done. That is the way my grandma did it too - we'd all occasionally sit down and get albums out and talk about them. Besides that though, I know that really the only person who really appreciates the books is me, lol.

I never print mine. Ugh. Bad scrapper. I've posted some on facebook and a girl I knew through school told me to print and frame them, so I guess she liked them. LOL.

I know that everyone loves pictures when I print them out and give them and/or Shutterfly (just-upload-the-pics) albums. I just need to break down and start printing or something. It is terrible. That is why I wanted to do a hybrid project life album. But I have been a slacker on that. Ugh. Bad scrapper again.

I'm glad to see that you ladies have family members who appreciate and enjoy your stuff. You do beautiful work, so it should be well loved! :)
