Which tablet.....

Should I get? I have been reading reviews and specs even though I am not tech savvy much so all the numbers and hooplah goes right over my head, but from my understanding in the price range I am looking I am thinking between Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD or ..... any suggestions/tips? Between those two, I'd say Nexus. But I only have iPads so can't say from experience. It seems cool, though.

I'm planning to get an iPad mini for my mom because it's lighter than her current iPad 2. I've only used iPads though, so I can't say much about Android tablets.

I am leaning towards the Nexus 7 because they say when you use tablets for a while the operating systems on a lot of the tablets get really slow but that the Nexus is not which is one of the reasons I think I want that one. Does Netflix work on it though do you have any experiences with that? Thanks for the feedback so far

I'd go with the Nexus. DH has a Kindle Fire and while it can do most of the stuff he wants (like Netflix) he sometimes has trouble with stuff like videos on various website - mostly ESPN in his case, but I tried to watch a show online (Project Runway) on it and was disappointed it wouldn't work.
