Where to start?

I have finished a couple layouts, but I get stuck in the debate of where to start again. I have all the pics from June. Then all the pics from the trip last November. I have been in the middle of loading my EHD and finding things isn't the easiest (altho I started sorting again tonight). There were no pics in Sept and July/Aug were bleak in the pic dept. Oh and then there's finishing the gymnast's book.
Once I get on a role I'll get my scrapping rhythm back, but until then... I'm lost in decisions.

I gave up in trying to get organized...in the scrapping sense....
unless scrapping chronologically is very important to you...I would just let the kits inspire you....

you are M3 Subscriber, am I right? September M3 is just beyond awesome, to scrap art journal or any page....I just let the color , the elements inspire me...like say a kit has one element that will be great to scrap that photo, so I go with that....

Having said that, I spent 4 hours on a page and did two versions earlier on, and none of them, I like
LOL

I'm terrible with decisions, but I would go with the story you want to tell most. Even if you don't have pics. Whatever you find inspiring at the moment, tackle that. Then go from there. You could start a list of things you want to get done, and then see what you have and go with it.

Good ideas. I did start with the M3 and maybe I'll continue that. I got lost looking for a pink ribbon. You would think I'd have that in my collection. I think you are both right, what is inspiring now and then the rest will follow. Thanks for the ideas.

Great suggestions. I usually start with a kit, honestly, and then I look back through my photos and find a story that will go with it. It could be from last week or 2008. And there doesn't have to be a photo to tell the story, like Kimberlee said... the story is enough.

And then, like Cynthia, sometimes it's just a matter of expression as in art journaling. No particular story.

All are very valid ways to scrap! The important thing, IMO, is to sit down and just do it when you get a chance. The inspiration will come (or check out the gallery for inspiration, geez, it's amazing)

Thanks Jen. I did similar. I knew I wanted to get my gymnast album done. She got tons of pics from state so there is a lot there. I picked an Album set and had kits set aside in a folder. With the album the pages are numbered and I'm just going with that and I have enough pictures to definitely get a good layout with whatever. So it just leaves choosing pics. Working today anyway.
