Do you ever just feel like you lost a whole day?

That's how I feel today. I babysat my granddaughter yesterday and overnight last night. She left before noon today and I had all these plans about what I was going to do with the rest of the day. Now here we are lol. I basically accomplished cooking a frozen pizza for Chance and reheating the rest of my calzone from last night. I guess knowing that I have the day off tomorrow just made me feel like I wasn't in any rush, which I'm not really, but I will have to do a little catch up tomorrow.

I'm the queen of 15-minute-tasks-turning-into-2-hour-time-sucks, so that happens to me all the time. It's not even that I'm being lazy or scrapping (which at least would be a nice way to spend the day!), it's that I get to the end of the day and realize a few small to-dos blew up and occupied hours and hours. It's my perfectionist tendencies...sigh.

Since July of last year, when I started playing Animal Crossing every single day. But I don't regret it - I just don't play for hours at any given time any more.

I felt like that this past week & weekend as I was finishing packing up our old house & getting moved into our new house. I forgot today was Monday/Memorial Day and not just Sunday x 2 until about dinnertime tonight. :giggle

This next week will drag, however, as my kids are going out of town with their dad which leaves all the unpacking to me!

Yep. Also I take so much longer to do things than I used to, so if I do have any sort of timed chore, it always run over !
(sometimes by a whole hour or two and then something else goes by the way side )
But no one runs after me, or needs things in a hurry , so it's ok, but boy it is annoying..

totally true for me too.
Especially when there is a public holiday - that mixes my days up and sometimes I "spend" the day twice and sometimes I lose one completely.

this is me too - why do i think small tasks will take a small amount of time? they never do and i don't think i've learnt that yet and still only assume they're going to take less than half an hour and at least an hour and a half later i'm still going

i feel like this

I have severe chronic pancreatitus. It can flair up at any time and it did on Monday, Memorial Day. I was out for 24 hours (honestly). My family had a BBQ and I slept in bed (with the help of medical marijuana) for18 out of 24 hours. If I was awake, I was only in bed looking at my phone for a few minutes. It is awful.

This was serious the story of my life this weekend. We drove to see friends in Minnesota this weekend, so we spent most of the day in the car on Saturday getting there (with lots of leisurely stops for shopping and stuff) and then we spend most of the day in traffic getting home on Monday. I got home and unpacked and thought... where did my weekend go? Lol.

I have become an expert in wasting time and managing to do a whole lot of nothing in a day. I need to go back to work so I have a routine and timelines again :)
