The weekend sure did go fast! I'd love one more day!!I'm a 3 today. It was a super busy weekend and it went by so fast. I'm really feeling like I need one more day to my weekend to catch up at home (since I barely spent a minute there all weekend) and rest from it all. Not ready to start my work week just yet...
That's great! Sounds like a really good weekend!! I'm sure your oldest cherished that time! We are having gorgeous weather for the next couple of days as well and that always makes me feel better!I'm a solid 4 today. My oldest is going through some things right now and asked to spend one-on-one time with me (and their dad) so I made that happen today. Luckily, my parents are close by & are almost always up for helping out including watching the youngest. Anyways, my oldest & I went shopping, watched a movie, and made dinner together, and they got to talk as much as they wanted to without being interrupted by the youngest. I just told them this past week about my boyfriend so it's been nice to talk about that (huge) part of my life with them, too.
It's also been a gorgeous weekend, weather-wise, and tomorrow is likely the last warm fall day of the season so we'll sneak over to the park after school to take our annual pictures (in previous years, they've had to bring winter coats so this is a happy change from the norm), and just anticipating all the photos I'll get and the layouts I'll make with them makes me happy, too.
I can totally understand with all you are dealing with. I hope things improve soon!!I’d say mostly two for a number of reasons but hearing lockdown restrictions are starting to lift tomorrow at midnight mean I’m ending the day closer to a 3. Honestly can’t see the next while being anything above a 3 while family issues are still present….lockdown restrictions starting to lift is a step in the right direction though.
A solid 3 is good! I'd probably put myself there today, being back at work and all lol That time change knocked me down as well.So I was like I'm was a "meh" in my head... it's currently Monday, I'm at work, I'm cold, and daylight savings happened.... then I saw the numbers, and 2 just seems too low.
I think I'll turn myself into at least a 3 - I've got my tea, music, heater and I'm planning my weekend already - my Dad's Birthday, and one of my close friends!! So I'll be a solid 3 soon, lol!
Yeah...I feel ya. The getting dark early thing is a beating.2 ... Monday, at work, I'm cold and sunset is at 5PM tonight. Blech!
The kids really do like it. They can talk if they want or just use it to let me know that they're having an off day without talking.I absolutely love that you do this with your students Jan. I bet they actually use it to be more aware and if you're consistent with it, they probably love knowing that someone is going to just ask how they are with an easy way for them to give you feedback.
I'm about a 4. I had a super productive weekend. I built two projects in my wood workshop over the weekend AND helped patch some holes at my parents house and install the final trim work in a very LONG home renovation project at their house. I've been over there for many many many weekends helping to fix stuff up for them and it's amazing to be able to finally see the end of the tunnel on that project. Only reason I'm not a 5 is because my body is a little angry at all the work I did.![]()

I'm glad you're going up!! Those 2 days are rough!I started today as a 2 probably, because it is just a stressful time at work (this time of year always is). But I got quite a but accomplished yesterday and today, so I think the next few days will work themselves back up to 3 and 4 levels. <3
I love this! My son's 4th grade teacher asked "How's your weather?" It confused us so much listening to him with online school and thinking - our small town has the same weather! Then we learned that it's a check in feature. Snowy - Grumpy/upset, Rainy - sad, Sunshine - Happy, Cloudy - worried. One day a child said there was a tornado coming. He got a 1-on-1 pretty quick with the teacher. I think yours is might be easier! I love that they can just raise their hand.
The weather thing is a great idea, too. When we were remote, I did a check in using emojis on a Google Form, but in class, holding up the number is really such a quick and easy way to get a feel for where the kids are coming from.Oh, and I'm a 4 today. Sharon went on an outing, and for the first time in a long time, I have the house all to myself. We were super worried about her going, but the Senior Center made us feel like she'll be fine. Crossing my fingers she has a lot of fun!
