What's the best way to search for items in the store?

So, I'm trying to find kits for specific events, and I'm having difficulty good results. Is there a "best" way to get the results you're looking for?

For example, I want to scrap about a coast guard ship:
  • I put in ship, and I get everything with "ship" (as in a large boat), and I get: friendSHIP, SHIPping tags, worSHIP, etc.
  • Navy? I get the color blue.
  • White water rafting (I know - it's a stretch)? A Quiet Place bundle...
  • I even checked Military. Nothing.
  • Boat? I finally get it right and finally get floating vessels! woohoo!
Maybe it's all dependent upon what's put in the description, but I thought I'd check anyway. Thanks!

Homonyms are hard to search for on their own, especially when most search programs are trained to find those four letters in any word, no matter what else is included. I'd try searching via ALL WORDS "ship" and "water" in the Advanced Search. In fact, I tried it for you and I found 22 results. Much more manageable. :) The Advanced Search "Exact Phrase" option might work for some words, but it's still a toughie with homonyms like "ship."

And don't forget we have the awesome Personal Shopper thread in the Scrapping Pad (although you can of course start your own ISO thread, too). Sometimes asking there is helpful because Pollys or designer CTMs (or designers themselves) have an instant idea for you.

Those tips are good to know, Sara! I do use the exact phrase for certain things, but I not as much as I should! I was going to do the Personal Shopper if I couldn't find anything, but I did!!

Thanks..:bk

Often this is true.

Sometimes, I'll think of what the theme of a "ship" element would be: ocean, water, cruise. And I'll try those to narrow it down.
Or, I like to use advanced search and use the word plus a few designers that would fit the look I want on my page.
