I am the mother of the Groom (June wedding) and there will be a Mother-Son dance. So what song should we use?

Other than country, I am open to any ideas. He is 28 and my oldest.

p.s. In other news, I found my dress this past weekend. Now I just need shoes.

First off, yay for finding your dress! June will be a beautiful time for the wedding. :)

As for the song ... my DH and his mom danced to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World." I also think Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" is a good mother/son dance song.

Yay for finding the dress! Good luck with the shoes!
I really love Forever Young, both the Rod Stewart version and a remake that Jay Z did. I also like Have I Told You Lately by Rod Stewart and You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins.

Glad you found the dress. I remember, for my youngest DDs wedding, I had the most trouble finding the shoes. Good luck. I had my dress first, too.

How about "In My Life" by The Beatles?

I think Sunrise Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof is also a sweet Mother Son dance :) Congratulations Bev on your Son's upcoming Nuptuals and for finding your dress!

I googled Mother/Son dance songs and this is what I found:

Whatever mother-son dance songs you choose for your wedding, it's sure to be a moment they'll both treasure forever.

I have no suggestions on songs... I'm terrible at that kind of thing and I can't even remember what song my hubby and his Mom danced to at our wedding. lol... but congrats on the upcoming wedding and for finding a dress! :) You of my best's friends is having the second summer in a row of having a kid get married. Last summer it was her son and this summer it's her daughter, so she's done the dress shopping things two years in a row and is currently deciding on shoes herself. :)

I didn't dance with my Mom, but for my Dad, I danced to James Taylor, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You).

@BevG First, CONGRATS!
Secondly, wow, you get to choose a song?? DS didn't include us in planning- we were only told when and where. So special that this is happening this way!!!

I hadn't a clue, so I made my BiL choose one! He was singing so I delegated that item straight to him. Sneaky. But I love what he chose - Young at Heart:
