Another discussion got me thinking about fonts and how we haven't had a good share of our fave fonts for awhile.

One of my faves is "The Golden Friends" collection. I love typewriter fonts so much.

A new one I just downloaded thanks to another thread I was following, is "Special Elite".

What about you? Any faves?

I was looking thru the fonts section of the store and now I've come across "The Roots" collection and I must have them! The Twig is already distressed (which I love to do with bigger titles). Another fave from the store I use almost as much as "The Golden Friends" is "The Damsel Series No.1".

Some others I use a lot are "American Typewriter" and for title work I love "Helena".

On almost every layout, I use Always In My Heart and Stamp. I have thousands of fonts, and yet I always seem to revert back to these.

and Stamp (I use this one for my dates)

My fav, which you got recently, is Special Elite. I use it pry on ALL MY LAYOUTS! I love fonts, but do you know how long I take to pick one out if it isn't Special Elite. :giggle FOREVER! (Really!!!!) I also love KG Fonts, Brittany Murphy Fonts, DB Fonts, and some others. BUT... I have issues with actually picking fonts, so I stick to Special Elite.

I love Heathers clean fonts... and another pack of favorites is this:

I love typewriter fonts for journaling too. I have the Toolbox Collection V1 that Jenn mentioned. And love The Dry Ribbon and The Dirty Dame from Heather Joyce ... but thinking I'm going to have to give The Roots and The Golden Friends from the store a try very soon. Those look fun Rae!

Also will just go with Courier New a lot (especially if in a hurry and don't have time to fuss over a font). But I only like it if it is tiny. (like 10 or 11 pts or smaller)

One of my faves for Titles or subtitles is P22 Cezanne. But I don't do a lot of fancy titles as often as I should. Lately have been into the beautiful handwritten script fonts. There are so many!

Here's the Dry Ribbon:

and here's The Dirty Dame:

i needed this thread... with the recent computer downtime, all my fonts were erased. I have to go back and re-install any fonts i want. I know i will NOT be re-installing all of the Pea fonts from "Kevin and Amanda" because I only used a hand full of them.
Going back through some of my recent layouts (for ones I noted the font in my credits; shame on me when I missed doing that!)... I love: 1942 Report, Boycott, DJB scruffy angel, The Frog, The HeatherA, Pea Roxygirl, Sketch Rockwell, Octember Script, Bebas Neue, Waterlily, Colleen, and Taluhla.

Unfortunately, I don't remember where some of these come from :(
The Frog and The HeatherA are both Heather Joyce fonts.
Waterlily and Colleen are both from a hungry jpg bundle (no longer free).
Bebas Neue is the font Sahlin Studio uses for a lot of her things.
Pea Roxygirl is from Kevin and Amanda...

the others I don't know :(

I use one called Champagne & Limosines a lot. Also LD Remington. I have The Dry Ribbon in my cart right now and like The Golden Friends too.

This is one of my long time favorite collections from the store

I have been using Patient Paige for my PL this year and Frangipani Rose a lot lately.
And now, thanks to y'all, I'm going to have a bunch more LOL

I love script fonts..... favorites are: Alex Brush, Amelie, KG Be Still and Know, Kristin for journaling. Fancier ones for titles. And I admit it, I usually pick one from the front of the alphabet as I am too lazy to scroll down.

I have seen people mention they use a font manager. Artisan has a built-in one that allows you to group your fonts. Does your font manager allow you to do that? Do you? What categories do you use?

Some of my categories are: favorites, script, handwritten-print, techno, Halloween, winter, brush stroke, bold-3D, chalk, retro, calligraphy, comic, curly, TLP, dingbats, all caps. I also thought about categorizing them as journal or title as some that work for titles are horrid to read in journaling.

I wanted a font manager, because I had so many before my computer died. but now I only have about 10. lol! I did decide I would try to make preview images for PSE Organizer, or download the preview images so I could put them in Organizer. then I can tag as many as I want. :) we'll see if I ever end up doing that.

Favorite Typewriter fonts - 1942 Report and Trixie Plain, VT Portable Remington
Script Fonts - Jane Austen, Southern Aire
Grungy Fonts - Fail, Genius of Crack
Paint Stroke - Chocolate Heart, Sweet Pea
Handwritten- Pea Hayley Juliet, Pea Mels in Between, Rockford
Decorative Titling - Benny Blanco, Birmingham Titling, Intaglio

Ohh, my wish list has grown and, um, thanks for the reminder that the store has a font section. I tend to forget it's there. Sullen Seamstress is my fave from the store.

For writing, I rely heaviest on a free font included in a scrapping program I purchases: Digna's Handwriting - mainly because it looks very like my own. I've seen it on a free font site before so may still be out there.

Also, the dingbats from Sahlin Studio's Magical Photo Overlays

I just switched from one Laptop to another and was missing a lot of my fonts as even though I had my font folder, some fonts disappeared on me.. I had to go back into my old laptop (with portable fan blowing on it as that is why I had to get a new one as the fan died in the old) and I downloaded every single font I had in the old laptop... then I put them on the external hard drive and now I only uploaded some that I really used or some of my favorites.
I too love typewriter style.. The Dry Ribbon by Heather Joyce is one of my favorites as is Special Elite ... I have tons of favorites.. it all depends on the style of page I am making!

Oh dear oh dear that's me too! Actually I really do love Avenir and Archer and still would if they were started with an R or T - probably. I am in a clean sans serif phase I think and use Arial the most. For titles or other big script needs I like Bakery and So Lovely.

I do have to look through my fonts because I want to make some filler cards with phrases for December and I have a free font like Aura Blue but cannot find it because I have no idea of the name!
