What do you do with your children's crafts?

I finally started taking pictures of everything over the past few years. I plan on scrapping the pictures in a PL style album! Our "school" room was overflowing with art projects from school and I couldn't keep it all!!!

Haha, I know what you mean! And my boys are only 5,5 and 3,5!!!

Actually, I think that's when the paper and art clutter is the worst! When they get older they bring home less and they're less attached to what they do bring home. My 10 year old would love to just throw it all away, but I insist on saving a few things. My youngest (5.5) still thinks each drawing is a masterpiece that must be saved forever.

I'll come back in 5 years to tell you if mine are also like that!!!:giggle

I have a box for each child - I've also had them hold up their pictures for me to photograph - I like showing how big they are when they did the work also

What is the Keepy App Kristin?

Sorry- we were internet-less for three days. I was dying. Ha ha.

Keepy is an app where you take a picture of the art project/picture and post it to the app. The cool thing about it is the kids can record a message telling about the art and it stays with the photo. Then, you can share it with anyone via email. We haven't used it much, but Luke always asks us to put his projects in Keepy.

That sounds similar to ArtKive. My problem is that I am not very consistent with keeping up with it.

I've just emptied the top of my wardrobe of the boys stuff from there nursery days and put them in a box to go in the attic in storage ready to fill with gabbis stuff

I feel bad but gabbi has only just started nursery and they send home everything apart from the good ones that they told me they keep to stick on the walls or in her book so I'm left with the scribble ones, some have gone in the bin ( I know bad parent) but the ones that resemble something I've kept

I started out keeping everything and then it was just overflowing. Now with number 3 in school it all goes to the trash. Probably not getting that "Mother of the Year" award but my house is less cluttered, which makes everyone happy.

I throw most of the stuff away...it's just too much. I have good intentions of scanning a lot of their drawings and crafts...but like many others, don't have the time and it just accumulates. I did scan a few drawings quite a while ago and made this layout (didn't use lilypad items...but I haven't posted it in the gallery here - it's quite a few years old) - hope that's ok

Wow - that is such a great page - your extraction and shadowwork is perfect -- it turned out so well!

I agree, so much fun!! It's a real masterpiece on itself... :heartslub
