What are your 2026 hybrid goals?

My hybrid goal is simple...make something this year in the hybrid genre :lol I do a hybrid gratitude journal every year and a December Daily. But I'd really like to do more...
Achievable goals are my favorite!
I just got a new assignment (calling) in church, I will be in charge of getting musical numbers for our weekly services. So I would really like to have a stash of cards on hand to mail each week a thank you to those who provided a musical number.
I would also like to do some sort of journal. I have a Mash up journal that I occasionally add physical stuff to like tickets and such, but I think I might be able to make that more hybrid focused. Even though I don't contribute much here, I do stalk this thread and love what you all do!
Cards are so fun to make because they are quick and easy. @Claire Grantham was so good at showing how you could make multiple cards from one kit. And I'd love to see your mash up journal -- that's sort of what I'm working on with my junk journal. It's fun to have a place to put tickets and other stuff you collect along the way!

I enjoyed putting together my ATCs in November and making some of them hybrid, then creating the little holder for them. Got me itching to make more things, so I did Lynne-Marie's freebie from her YouTube channel already. I like easy little projects like that...so satisfying!
I agree, easy is my middle name. Um, ok, it's not but it should be.
I was a part of Lynn and Rachel's Pixel Paper and Paint Substack group this year and got all the collabs early as a paid member. They have amazing collage sheets in them and printable pages of elements, so my goal is to use some of those this year. I want to find something to use as an art journal. I might even buy some glue and some ink so I can finish edges. I do have some paint, so maybe I'll pull some of that out.

I have to be careful because of space, though. I used to have an entire craft room and all the things. I am definitely missing my corner rounder punch! I did find a folio I had kept that had some ephemera and alphas I'd bought in it along with some papers I'd printed. In the same stash, I found a box of buttons and brads and some travel-related word bits. Have no idea what I kept them for, but I am hoping to put them to good use.
Yes, the supplies can easily get out of hand and get very messy! I try not to buy too much stuff and to re-use what I have. So I only have like a stack of 4 nested tiny ink pads that I use on everything that needs inking. I'm always tempted to buy more and have to talk myself out of it because I don't want my supplies to overtake my space. I do still have a corner rounder though! :giggle

Jealous!

I loved reading about everyone’s plans and ideas, so inspiring!

I think 2026 will look a lot like 2025 for me, with lots of different projects happening at the same time. I’ve learned that I really need that kind of variety, so I’m totally okay with it.

The steady things are my planner (this year a Hobonichi Techo), working in A4, A5 and TN formats, and spending time in journals, sketchbooks and altered books.

I love working with watercolour, stamps, inks and acrylics, mixed media and collage, and I enjoy making planner stickers, gelly prints and stencils.

Hybrid scrapbooking for me is simply mixing all of these things together, digital bits, printed elements, paint and paper depending on the project, my inspiration and my mood.

Well, you know I adore your work so keep on doing what you're doing!

I want to try altered books but I can't seem to get past the "desecration" of a book factor. Which I know is ridiculous but . . . I even have some old books for that very purpose.

I love the variety in your work! Stenciling is on my to-do list!

Well for starters…. Do more of them.
I’m actually wanting to sit down and do my DYD album. I took photos…..

I did go and find a mixed media paper spiral bound notebook with tear out pages. I'm going to leave them in there for now. I know I can paint on this paper and/or use Mod Podge and it will hold up. I've decided I will try to do a quick play on Sunday afternoons. Why not?
