So I'm trying to get the hang of Scrap Stacks and I'm loving it so far. I still haven't restacked anything...but I'm sure that's happening soon...I'm just overwhelmed with the inspiration there.

What are you stacking? Obviously I'm not going to go back and stack all of my layouts since I've started digiscrapping but I there are some older layouts I plan on sharing there (one's that I'm especially proud of). I also stacked some hybrid tutorials I did for a team I was on a while back and I've stacked my layouts that I know got GSOs or recognition on another blog...since I figured someone might find them inspiring. And then I'll go ahead and post my layouts moving forward. I'm also thinking about sorting My Layouts folder into separate yearly folders. I'm just curious what everyone else is doing...there's so much to take in.
 
I'm posting my layouts going forward but I am going back and posting all of my Project Life pages... for some reason I like to see them all together LOL

I'm also posting some tutorials I've written and just restacking layouts that I find inspirational
 
I will prolly go back a few months in my layouts (and post them there from here on out) and have them sorted by year. I then have an 'Inspiration' stack, an 'Inspiration - PL' stack, and an 'Inspiration - DD' stack.
 
its weird i see lots of people stacking kits for their wish list but the rules say you can only upload your own stuff(its not the designers that are uploading)? I am stacking my current layouts Oct 2012, my fave ones from others that have uploaded and kits tat i see on there that I want. that's it so far
 
Heather, if a designer stacked one of their kits, you can restack it {as long as you aren't on their CT and restacking for promotion}.

I only stacked the new stuff I've made, with the exception of a couple of older layouts.
 
I've uploaded a few recent layouts and I'll carry on doing so (for now at least!). I agree with Heather - it's a little disconcerting to see the rules being broken so flagrantly already! Even seen some CU stuff on there, too.

I like the idea of this, just hope that it doesn't get taken over for advertising purposes otherwise I think I'll probably lose interest pretty quickly. I'm fairly flighty like that ;)

Yes but the few I am seeing are not re stacking
 
I haven't stacked a single thing yet, I just got myself signed up and have been poking around a bit so far. I was a teeny bit disappointed that it took a ton of scrolling to find even a few layouts amongst loads of product images.. most of which seemed to belong to a wish list and not re-stacked from a designer. I'll spend some time later tonight and get a few things added. I'm not sure yet how I'll organize though, there are SO many options!
 
Ladies... don't be afraid to report/flag them if they aren't their own products or layouts that they are stacking ;)
 
Good point Heather - I had a hunt around and found the report button (it's a bit teeny for my eyesight, lol!). I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding, they're only doing what they'd do on Pinterest I expect.
 
yeah, my guess is they didn't read the terms of use... but they won't know if they aren't informed... I already got a warning email from the owner reminding me of the 10 layout per day limit :giggle

oh my gosh..i didn't realize there was a limit...I so went over that today. :(

I even read the TOU...I guess I just didn't think about it since all the galleries just keep you from uploading if your over the limit.

^^^According to the TOS, it's a courtesy limit, which is why you're technically able to go over that. ;)
 
It actually doesn't say anything about courtesy..the actual wording is:

Be kind and do not flood the gallery. You may only upload a maximum of 10 images per day.

My guess is that it's a software limitation that keeps her from being able to set it to stop you from uploading more.

I feel really bad that I missed this. I'll definitely remember the limit in the future though.
 
Yes... remember it's still in the Beta phase... it doesn't technically open until November ;) so the 10 per day limit is to test the server limits so she can get a good idea of what she's going to need :)

and since it's in the Beta phase... don't be afraid to email Penny with any ideas you have for the site or things that seem wonky ;) and remember she's being flooded too so she might not get back to you right away and she may be missing things while she's with her family so reporting/flagging things helps her out a lot ;)

Oh, the wording has changed since I read it. ;)
 
EEp! I never saw the limit so I know I've gone over. I'll have to email Penny and tell her sorry and that I won't do it again. lol

As for restacking, right now I'm only restacking pages by people who I know I like their stuff. I've yet to expand and find people who I've never heard of.
