What are you currently looking forward to? Near or distant future, I want to know!

In my near future - I'm looking forward to next week, when we don't have a single night time event all week. Everything for the kids is ending this week - Girl Guides, Dance, Swimming lessons, even my oldest's Math teacher cancelled for next week. I am SO freaking excited to be able to do nothing when I get home from work.

In the further future, I'm looking forward to summer (starts July 1 for me)! - I work for a school board, so things are slower over the summer and I have 3 weeks of vacation planned, plus all the Fridays. Bring on Summer!!

Hubby's business trip to Okinawa at the end of this month!! I'll be joining too and enjoy myself while he is at a conference lol lol
I just booked a car rental so that I can move around on the Saturday on my own and Sunday together.
We didn't get to have a 20th anniversary celebrating trip to Hawai like we dreamt of but for now Okinawa will do lol

Happy Anniversary, safe travels and have fun!

Immediate... I live for weekends. Friends, family, chill, fun, smiles, and then we are getting warmer weather now. Yay!

Future.... So, I'm wishing for July. lol! When some of the big stuff that is stressing me out is on the downhill - prom, graduation, graduation party, preparing for college, etc. Then I feel like I will be able to breathe a bit!

I’m looking forward to our yard being “fixed” (hopefully in the next week or two) and to Disneyland in June!

The daughter graduates from college with her BS this Saturday. Second son also graduates this Saturday with his MS. He is currently in Texas and will be moving home to start the job search. Daughter has the summer off and then starts her associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts - one step closer to owning her own bakery.

Then in 2 weeks we are traveling to see the Great Niece graduate high school. Then another niece graduates high school in June. July: trip to Nashville for a Crafty Me Slumber Party while hubby and family visit his mom. August/Labor Day weekend - Dragon Con in Atlanta - I finally agreed to go with them but may not actually go to the presentations.

My hubby retired in March, so the travel has started. Need to get onto planning trips out of the country next - and a trip to Yellowstone/Grand Canyon.

My youngest grandson graduates June 7 ... I'm excited that a) he's made it (it's been a looooong 4 years) and b) no more fighting with kids to do their school work!!!

My bonus granddaughter is expecting her first baby in early November ... my first great-grandchild. I surely can't be that old, lol!!!

And I'm currently planning a December trip to Disneyland to celebrate (belatedly) my 70th b'day. I've celebrated my 60th and 65th b'days there. I live on the east coast, so I've only been to DL twice before, normally I go to Disney World in Florida.

Looking forward to next- this weekend to be over as my youngest daughter Mollie has her grad party on Saturday, May 13th and I am stressed about getting everything together for it. Then, on Monday, May 15th, Mollie graduates from high school and all my kids will be college-aged.
Further off, we have our 26th anniversary May 24th, our nephew Parks turns 4 in late May, we have family visiting Memorial Day weekend and we are going to a family reunion in the North Georgia Mountains in June. Then in December my oldest son Josh is graduating from college with his Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.

Today, my son, Daniel, comes home from USC for part of the summer.
At the end of this month, we are going to the UK for a week and then in July, I'm tagging along with DH for a conference he is going to in Croatia.

I'd say I'm in the happy place right now because I had been looking forward to my son coming home from college, but he's here now and I'm loving it. I suppose I am slightly looking forward to my youngest being done with his school year too. Everything gets a little easier for all of us when we have less to do and more freedom to just relax. :agree

@tjscraps I totally get you on the being excited anytime I have any evening free to just do whatever. It happens so rarely during the school year that when it does happen, I almost don't know what to do with myself. :giggle

My youngest graduates high school 3 weeks from today, and 4 weeks from today it's summer vacation for me!! I'm not doing summer school this year, so I'm really looking forward to the break!!

So many graduations for everyone!

My daughter graduated last week. We have her homeschool graduation party/senior recital on Saturday so there's been lots of prep for that. Last week was a big week around here...the graduation, spring piano recitals, piano guild, Mock trial. I was soaking in every minute but was sort of glad when last week was over. I'm looking forward to Saturday. We also have friends coming into town for the weekend. Looking forward to it, but I know I'll be glad when next week rolls around and we are sort of done with everything for a while!

My oldest daughter leaves for the whole summer in two weeks, working at a summer camp. Then she also graduates from college in December with her nursing degree and will most likely be moving away for good. I have soooo enjoyed these last few months with my older girls. I'm trying to be present with them and just soaking in as much time with them as possible as I know it is short. Plus graduation has me all emotional.

We still haven't planned our summer vacation yet...so I wonder if it will even happen. There's just been so much going on.

In the near future, I am looking forward to some day trips in BC to different areas for bird photography. I plan to go to Vernon, Kelowna and down to Osoyoos but may go further, I need to research parks.

In the more distant future, I am excited for a cruise we booked for October, 2 wks in the Mediterranean. We'll bring my daughter and we are all so excited as none of us have been over there. We'll spend a few nights in Barcelona before the cruise and then 2 days in Rome at the end. I am really enjoying traveling.

On the 27th me and hubby are goìng to Stockholm. One night at a hotel. Hubby is going to a concert, Stravinskij, I think. Not my thing. I'm gonna take a guided tour of the old part of Stockholm. It's my "nerd crush", a known historian, who does the guiding. He's an expert on Stockholm during the late 18th century. I'm so excited about this! The plan is also to get photos for May's photography challenge.

Also, I'm looking forward to the trip we will do late July. Nothing decided yet. Hubby got an e-mail yesterday, that he will get some of the expenses paid, since we will go to a town where he can do some research for his next book. We probably will go to Vadstena or Lund, which are two towns that have huge archives. [Hubby is writing books about parts of his genealogy research, and there's a ... society ... might be the right word? ... that has sponsored a trip before.] I love Vadstena, we go there every year, more or less, but Lund was also a wonderful town. It's a bit further away. We'll see where we end up going. It's his research that decides where we go. I just tag along since I love staying at hotels, stroll around in a new town, eat at restaurants and do some sightseeing.

And talking about anniversaries, April 2024, we will have our 30th anniversary. We've been talking about Barcelona, Amsterdam and Norway so far. But who knows, with the world right now, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm looking forward to when the garden is finished for the summer, my ex-hubby is helping me and yesterday he began to trim the tree's so now I have the garden full of branches and I've to clean them so we can get them to the recycling.
It will be good in the end but it is a massive job. Has to love my ex-hubby who does all the hard work :)

The 120 Castle Colored Pencils (Pencil Crayons) were 40% off - so I bought them on Amazon!! :circles I want to improve my drawing skills (or lack thereof) and have been practicing in graphite pencil only. So, I look forward to working with color!!! Also, bought some much need blender stumps. I was having problems with shading - sometimes I work well with hatching....but sometimes the hatching does not look good to me, so being able to shade with the blender stumps is something else I look forward to.

I hope you'll share some of your drawings when you're comfortable! I'd love to see them. I've also admired people who put the work into improving their drawing skills. I've tried and I just stink at it. My hands are too shaky I think.

Looking forward to a week off work and going to a mini vacation for two nights and a Depeche Mode concert in Stockholm on May 23. I’m also looking forward to the “real” vacation in July, it’s been a hectic period at work.
In the future I hope we will be able to buy a mobile home. Not the huge one I have seen from US but a smaller one. I know we will use it a lot, I love exploring new places with interesting history and beautiful nature.
