Tomorrow we officially start to mark things off our summer list. Here is our list of things we want to do this summer.
The Zoo
Stone Mountain
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta
The Beach
Camping (I know I just went but I so want to go back again)
The Water Park
Sleepover Camp ( one week for each of the girls) (June 10-14)
Vacation Bible School (I am in charge of this) (it is at the end of July)
Backyard Camping
and I know that we will add a few more as the summer goes along.

We are on the final countdown here - 5 more days of school left!!! The first full week that my girls have off they will be in gymnastics team camp, so that week will go fast! After that we just plan to enjoy our time off, our time at our vacation trailer/camp resort - playing on the beach, at the waterpark there, and mini-golfing, vacation bible school, etc... I can't wait to not have to drive back and forth to school each and every day and pack lunches!!!

We're still in school until 6/14 (technically my son is still in school until 6/18, but he'll miss the last two days due to camp). My son leaves for a month at camp on 6/15. My daughter has elected not to go this year. She'll do a short week sleep away camp with a friend and "camp grandma" for another week. She also will be getting started with phase two of her orthodontia (herbst appliance) :-( After Alex is back, we head to Michigan for the rest of the summer... golf camp, beaches, kayaking, drive-in movies, etc. Can't wait!

We are in school until 6/6. I keep saying I need to make a summer bucket list because we don't have a big family vacation planned. Instead we are going to my sis-in-laws wedding in two weeks. That's been expensive, so we can't afford to do that and a big trip, so we're going to Cleveland for the wedding. I keep trying to talk my hubby into taking an extra day so we could maybe go to Cedar Point, but he's not falling into line on that idea yet. :) Otherwise we're going to stay home most of the summer and here's a brief list:

Go to the beach. a lot.
bike rides (maybe a trail ride or two)
Vacation Bible School
Maybe take the train to Chicago for a day
Drive In Movie

I haven't planned mine out very well yet, still trying to make it through the end of the year dance recital craziness and preparing for our big yard sale. I know we're going to camp in July, we need to decide where though (hubby and I want to go to Lake Erie, Katelyn insists we have to camp at the same camp site we've gone to EVERY year, lol!) I bet she'd totally be stoked for backyard camping though! That's going on my list for sure! We've got a pool pass this year, so lots of swimming hopefully! And I've got to figure out the rest!

we are in school until june 27th - but i've started to think about our summer bucket list .. i want to actually frame one this year :)

Now ya'll gotta remember I live in the middle of nowhere...but we find things to do

go the river til the water goes away(the desert is greedy for any available water)
hike some in the cooler mountains
go to the waterfall(a horrible straight down hike and worse up, but I love it)
pick Cherries
pick blackberries
grow sunflowers
sew with my girls
teach my boy to drive (aaaaaaaaaaagh...naw, it's my second one)
paint
sleep on trampoline
lots of sleep overs with kids filling the house
laugh lots
go to aquatic center in town next to us
rollerarena
and in July
we ARE going on Vacation to San Diego (the big city) and to SeaWorld! can I scream with happy??? 9 people in two hotel rooms, unlimited SeaWorld and beaches and pools and TV (hahah, we don't have one in the house, so I watch the commercials and the kids overdose on Sponge Bob and CSI)

I love New Mexico. We have been to Santa Fe once back in 2004/5 (my years run together back then with my girls being so small) . I would so love to make a trip back there it is so beautiful. My husband moves campers and we were hired to bring one out into the middle of the dessert about and hour out of town, it was so beautiful.

No big plans for me but I'm counting down the days when the hubby takes our two teens to the beach with his brother & dad. Boys trip! Mommy gets a staycation with a house that will remain clean for days! Wahooo!!!

we are at the (cough cough) bottom of New Mexico...nothing like up there in the big city...more...moon feeling, big rocks and no vegetation...bhahahha...but golly, I am a desert rat now! It may be hot...but as we say...it's a dry heat! lol

The kids have a busy summer planned -- school ends Jun 28th

Canada Day long weekend - we'll be spending it at my sister's place, probably target shooting with paintball and pellet guns, and then a couple long quad rides through the country

Then the kids have a 4 day skateboarding camp

followed by a week off to laze around the yard

then 2 weeks of swimming lessons (everyday!)

then family camp for the August long weekend

then the kids alternate, each has 2 weeks of overnight camping - they are so looking forward to this

then back to school first week of September

Plus football starts up in August, so my youngest will have 3 practices a week during August (6:30 - 8pm) when he happens to be around.

We're not really planners. We'll be going north to visit family for a week or two at some point, but nothing else specific. DD has been making a list of ideas, but she hasn't shared it with me yet.
