hmmm.... It has a been an awful one month for me... I don't have a full time job... took up and offer to freelance from September... I was supposed to be paid by now.. however, the friend who hired me refused to pay ... stating that he hasn't received any payment from the client.. I have been demanding for it since November.. and now he is only paying me 60% of what I am supposed to get.. everything was done, verbally... so I have no proof!! and I guess I have been cheated!! LOL!! I am sad at the same time glad that this has happened!!

what a friend I have all this while!!

Oh no! It's esp awful when a friend rips you off - not a great lead up to christmas...

life is all about living and learning Lil..... I know it may be terrible now...but maybe is preparing youy to be wise when next time comes? and thuse avoiding an even bigger loss?
that is the way I try looking at my ...lets say trick that life plays me.... which seem never to end, but loking at the bigger picture, like people like Anne (of Alamo) Mish, and many others taught me...it has made my life a lot more bearable.
That is one person you did not need in your life, good riddance.
Huge hugggzzzz , hope things will be brighter now

That's awful LiLi! I hope that when his client pays him, he'll finally pay you the rest of what he owes and maybe a little bonus too for making you wait so long!

OH NO! That's terrible!!! I'd keep hounding him until you get it all & then cut all work ties! Good luck!

Karen , i am getting lesser than what he promised and he doesn't want to have anything to do with me because I kept chasing for the payment..

oh that is horrible.
being ripped off is never good.
especially a friend, or someone you thought was a friend
I'm sorry LiLi

Not like you should want to have anything to do with him either. What were you supposed to be doing just enjoying working for free? He is the one that is wrong.

Sorry to hear your friend took advantage of your friendship and ripped you off. Not much of a friend after all, is he? As much as it hurts to lose money you rightfully earned, I bet it's sad to lose what you thought was a friendship. Hugs.

That's so disappointing. Alas, sometimes friendship and business does not mix. I'm just sorry that you've experienced that. What a sting. ((hugs)) to you. :beat

That's just rotten, Li Li. Glad you got something at least, but sounds like you're better off without this "friend". (((hugs)))

:( well he is no longer a friend of mine ... I guess, I am better off with him ...

Li Li- Trust and dishonesty from who you once considered a friend is the worst thing to have to endure. It is so hard to get past. I am keeping you in my thoughts that this person gets a conscience, realizes that he hired you and needs to pay you what you agreed on. Here in the US a verbal agreement is binding, yet can be hard to prove. His getting paid from his client is not your concern. As long as you filled your part of the job then you deserve to be paid for the job. Again, I am sorry this happened to you, and are keeping you in my thoughts.
