I'm having fun doing only digi pages these days, but on occasion I do miss the feel of paper. I thought it would be FUN for you to post one or two of your FAVORITE PAPER LAYOUTS you ever did & why it's your favorite. Can't wait to see!!! :woot

For me, I always loved trying to figure out new ways to use old product! Techniques were always fun. I chose two pages that I really liked (one of each of my boys - have to be fair you know). I was excited as well that both were published.

For this page, I poked wire through the edges of my photo, attached a button & the twisted the wire until it was stable. The page has a great texture to it.

This page was super simple, fast & fun. Rarely did I use a crayon on a page but in this case I did. I took a small piece of something textured, laid the white cardstock over it & then scribbled over it with a crayon. This one makes me happy.

Now it's your turn. PLEASE SHARE! Yippeeee!!!

Oooo Heather those pages are lovely! I love hand sewn pieces!!! You were a very textural scrapper!

oh wow! I did a sorta wedding book I printed the backgrounds and glued the photos to it...well glue dots!

and then a memory book for when we lived in Florida...it was so darn expensive!
The Florida book was all paper, and I thought I was so inventive with my fancy scissors! lol

then I did a hybrid kid in a can, that I thought was pretty darn cool once! lol

I get so nervous cutting photos, and more so glueing something down! So final ya know? I love digi, love it!

I was for about 7 years. Here are 2 of my favorites.

I miss nothing about paper scrapping. The only thing I do miss about my paper scrapping days was when I was a consultant for Close To My Heart. I loved directing home parties and sharing my love for memory keeping with others. We had just converted a spare bedroom in our old house into my scrapbooking room and my husband had just built floor to ceiling shelving for me when I found digital scrapbooking. People had already been trying to get me to try it but I was one of those that thought it was not "really scrapbooking." Needless to say that it wasn't long before we were ripping down shelves and packing boxes and boxes of stuff up. It didn't take me long to fall in love with digi. I loved that i could do so many different techniques without having to grab out 50 different machines and such to do it on. I made some people very happy though because after selling my big machines I pretty much just gave boxes of stamps and papers and kits away. I was just sick of seeing it.

I have tried several times to paper scrap again and would buy up supplies thinking it might be fun to dive in again but every single time I end up just throwing it all in a box and then in the trash. I just don't have the energy for it any more!

OMG... I LOVE all the samples!

Amanda, you were a total pro with set up for your picture Layouts!

I am most proud of this book I did.

The History:
I was thinking: I ain't fair to "say" that I can't scrap my wedding pics just becos I am divorced. So I decided to scrap them with a twist. And I am glad that I did.

The journaling is extracted from the following songs:
1. I Won't Say (I'm In Love) - Hercules movie
2. Together Forever - Debbie Gibson
3. How Do I Live Without You - Leann Rymes
4. I Can Survive - Diana Ross

This page is very poignant. Cos it was created a week after she (my paternal grandma) had passed away.

STITCHING !!! I love stitching. But strangely enuf, I didn't do it. Too lazy??!! bwahahahaaa!!!!

@ Shannon: Tat crayon shading is one creative way to bring texture to the page.

@ Heather: I love both pages. The green. And the shabby chic.

@ Dalis: Your pages are so eye-catching. And that book ... so girly with those flowers, bows & ribbons despite the non-girly colors.

@ Anne: That is one memorable photo album.

@ Amanda: Your pages are so shabby chic. I like!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I dun miss anything abt paper-scrapping too. Cos I can't seem to find the elements I want. Do you know I have a big stash of buttons, ribbons & flowers? Yet I rarely use them. I am forever short of metal embellishments. I know I LOVE to use lots of embellishments. But I dun seem to hv the "freedom & ease" in using them, as compared to digi-scrap.

On top of all that, the price tag over here is exorbitant !!! So once-upon-time, I subscribed to AU & US shops so I will get a package every mth w/o fail. And I just adored the pp & everything that I dare not to use them. Cos once it is used, I can never re-use them.

I loved paper scrapping, still have tons of supplies tucked away and hope to get my hands dirty again one day -

this is the last one I did

but I love the instant gratification of digi...

I did paper scrap. Funny, but only two of my paper layouts are still at 2 Peas. Wonder if I deleted them all back in the day? Here's one of my paper layouts:

I paper scrapped for four years but I've been digital for nine, so digital wins. I do sometimes do a paper project (December Daily, make gift albums) but I'm firmly a digital girl. I need that CTRL+Z!

These are all awesome, I've never touched paper but enjoy seeing all the paper layouts!

LOL, I wish!! I just snapped those last night in my dinning room with my iPhone. I was to lazy to fix the white balance and such. I never posted my paper layouts online. I never even knew online galleries existed in my paper days.

I love seeing all these paper layouts. You all were some pretty amazing paper scrappers too!!! I might have stuck with it if I could have rocked it like you all did. I definitely feel like my scrapping evolved for the better when I went digi.

I have to come clean and say I miss paper scrapping, BUT there is no going back in the state my scrapping room is! (Ask Heather!)

This thread is awesome, I love seeing these paper layouts! I paper scrapped in my teenage years a bit, but I was a really terrible paper scrapper! Digi is where my heart is for sure.

No way. I have zero eye-hand coordination, so trying to create what I do with my computer with my hands would be a FRIGGIN. NIGHT. MARE.

Y'all go on with yo' bad paper selves. I'm quite content with my PS here, thankyouverymuch. :giggle

i have rescrapped nearly every paper layout i did to digi and have thrown away the paper layouts. Hated the bulk and all the embellies!! I am crazy I know, It took about 2.5 years to redo many many paper albums. everything is digi from 2006-present day, the rest before that are film and need to be scanned.

Yep, I was. Somehow even squirmed my way into a couple magazines. LOL

Here's a few... lets keep in mind this was MANY YEARS AGO. :rofl

Oh ... Oh ... I do miss the bulky embellishments.

Hey! That is a good idea - to digi-scrap the paper ones eh. Esp those ugly ones. :giggle

Angie, those are very bright paper LOs. I like your choice of colors.
