We're going to Disney World!!!!

So, my parents are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary in October and to celebrate they are bring the whole family to Disney! I still can't believe it! And by whole family I mean 10 people! They are paying for everything for my children and all the adults need to pay is our flight and food as well as our park entry.

Now, what I need is some tips and tricks. What are the must sees and must dos. ;)

Thanks! :)

Renee

Wow! That is so exciting! I have no tips, but I know that they are many here who will have lots! Do you know about the Capturing Magic podcast?

Wow that is so cool! Have a wonderful time! I wish I had some tips and tricks to share but I've never been :)

My eldest DD is going to Tokyo Disneyland next year with her Japanese class though .... she will have to take lots of photos for me so I can use Sahlin's gorgeous Disney goodies hehe :D

Yay Renee!!! Sounds like a great time! Not too many tips here either - I've only been to Disney once.

I know that Kim (MissKim) posts her PL pages here, but not sure if she checks this regular forum or not. She's a Disney pro; you should PM her if she doesn't reply to this thread.

October is absolutely my favorite time of year for Disney. Great weather and smaller crowds...you'll have a blast!

The best thing I used during my recent trip was an iphone app, Undercover Tourist: Disney World. It shows you in real-time which rides have the shortest lines in each park, as well as crowd projections for the days you are there. It worked SO amazingly well. We only waited in 2 long lines during our entire 5 day stay.

As far as rides, I think your boys would love:
-Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom (most of the other stuff we did was Princess related since we're all girls)
-Soaring at Epcot
-Toy Story at Hollywood Studios
-Dinosaurs, Kali River Rapids and the Safari at Animal Kingdom

Oh I am so excited for you! I've only done Disney world once, back in 2008. It was amazing!

Disney has been my fave vacation to date. Have fun! There is a great book called Passporter's Guide to Disney that has excellent info.

I went three months ago. It was a BLAST!!!!!! Mom & I made dinner reservations each day in the morning before we went to a park. Sometimes it's hard to get into the table dining places, especially those with a character involved. Have tons of fun!!
