Anyone else excited for the long weekend (in the US)? :happydance What plans do you have?

We are getting together with some friends tomorrow evening for an outdoor concert+fireworks. We're planning to stay home on Sunday, and then go see the fireworks on the 4th. There will be some grilling in between, of course. :giggle
 
Heading to our "Freedom Fest" on post to hear Blake Shelton! :) Then I've to start hitting the books! I take my LA Real Estate licensing exam on the 7th! *crossing fingers*
 
Getting tires put on the van today...and hoping there isn't front end work than needs to be done right away. If that all goes well we're heading to one of DH's coworkers on Sunday to pick up a new (bigger) cage for our pet snake (plus she's grilling out for us). I don't know what DH's schedule looks like for Tuesday yet so fireworks will depend on whether or not he has a super early morning for the 5th...and then DH's birthday on the 5th which will probably involve something grilled and lots of ice cream.
 
im at the kids football tournament off and on tomorrow its an all day thing but ill need to bring gabbi home for a sleep so ill be popping to and thro,sunday the kids have a party so again the weekend revolves round the kids
 
early morning rummage sale, then a noon BBQ @ the local Grange on Saturday
and I'll be @ the Nursing Home visiting my Mom through the weekend
am hoping to get some thrifty finds @ all the yard sales too while I'm driving around
 
tomorrow it's a cookout/party/fireworks at our good friends (and cousins) house. Sunday it's another cookout and fireworks in CVille at my moms and Monday it's dinner at G's parents with his sister and her family and his gma. Lots of prepping..need to put together a veggie tray, make a coconut cream pie and pasta salad. I was hoping to have a lazy weekend but that's not happening!
 
It's Canada Day here, long weekend for us too, but no exciting plans. They put on a parade today in support of the major flooding here, but we didn't go. DH was working (it's so hot finally!), so the boy and I just hung out on the deck. We turned the temp. down on the hot tub and he spent 2 hours in there playing. The girls have gone away with the G's (Grandma & Grandpa) for the weekend.

Tomorrow I'm really hoping we can get our basement sanded and primed. I would like to see the furniture moved back down there! :)
 
working Saturday and Sunday. I have Monday off but I have no plans. I might just clean more rooms and take more boxes to Salvation Army!
 
i'm actually headed out on vacation - we'll be spending the week in las vegas! i'm excited - except my oldest got stitches last night after slipping on a slide at the pool and bumping her chin - so she's going to have to stay out of the pool for a few days - arghh .... it's HOT in vegas right now and the pool was pretty much our main activity LOL! oh well - we'll be at circus circus a bunch, i think :)

We will be leaving in a couple hours for my hometown. Tonight is my 10 year high school reunion. Then tomorrow we are going to the lake until late Monday evening. My 2 girls are then going to stay with my parents for the entire week. It'll be so weird only have 2 kids at home!
 
We are heading out to see the earliest showing of Cars2 hoping that people saw it opening weekend or don't want to go at 10:00 am on a Saturday!
