At 4am this morning. Never thought that would happen out here in the midwest. It was a 4.3, so not crazy or anything. It completely woke me up as the house shook and I heard some crunching noises. I tried to wake up Chris but he just rolled over and ignored me. I spent the next 20 minutes looking out the windows wondering if something hit the house. I'm just completely shocked about it!

Oh my goodness!! In Chicago!! Weird. When I was a kid, I lived in St. Louis and we had a tremor once. Very rare and very odd.

You must have been completely freaked out considering all the news about earthquakes.

How freaky - glad you are OK!! The same thing happened to me in Ohio once. It's such a strange feeling. I honestly don't know how the California people handle it with such calm.

I had seen that on the news this morning Carolee - glad it was minor and no one was hurt!

That is scary, especially when you don' t live in an area that normally experiences these things.

We had an earthquake on January 1st 2000... needless to say we thought the world was coming to and end! Hope you guys are all okay!

We had one here a while back - building shook, hanging stuff swayed - its definitely a freaky thing!!

Saw that on the news this morning. Crazy! Glad you and your family are all okay.

Hey, Tornados keep you on your toes. And right now, we have 4 inches of snow on the ground and they're already sending out Tornado preparedness pamphlets. Love being here in the south.....oh, in Tornado Alley! FUN!

Scary!! I don't know how you guys handle any of that natural disaster stuff I would be in total fear. Most we have to worry about is a blizzard and I guess thats better than an earthquake or tornado...

Um, we don't have to live in fear of TORNADOS. We don't know how you guys can handle that! HAHAHA

In the 10 years, I've lived here, I've never seen or been in a tornado. I'll admit the first tornado watch/warning was scary..after that...meh.

Chicago is definitely not a place you associate with earthquakes! Must have been very scary!

I am glad it wasn't major!

There is actually one of the biggest fault lines here in the midwest, so I am actually surprised we don't have more...

I know we felt it this morning and I honestly thought it was snow falling off the roof or something since we had a ton of snow yesterday (we're about 90 minuets outside Chicago)

wow that's scary! The worst we have to worry about is the heat! lol though I do have visions of tsuanamis in my head sometimes as we live right on the coast.
