We've always rented too and are going to be buying this year sometime. So is your home new and being built? We have been looking at some options that gives us the opportunity to pick floors, cabinets, counters, etc... which is really what I'd like to do. Our biggest issue is looking in North Texas for a place with a big enough yard. That seems to be nearly impossible.
