Watcha doing today?

The rain stopped today and at this time of year it's good to get out and enjoy it when you can. We took Taz to the park and enjoyed chatting with some of the other dog owners as the dogs all ran around together and played tug-of-war with sticks. Then we grabbed some take-out for dinner and watched Blacklist (have 2 more to watch to catch up). It was time for hubs to lay back in his chair and snooze so I headed down to my office and now have just finished up a blog post (check it out on Monday). Before I start dinner, I am going to sit down with a green tea and browse thru the gallery which is exploding with new layouts. I know this is going to inspire me to want to scrap so I have a feeling that I'll be sitting down after dinner at the computer to scrap a page or two as we continue to catch up on Blacklist.

It's been a nice relaxing day. What about you?

the weather was nice and about to turn cold...so I threw my boys outside (they hunted for fossils for hours and found lots) and I scrapped madly. I am trying with the 2016 DYD to finish my 2015 book! It is gonna be presents for my out of the house kids for Christmas.
We are getting ready to play a new family game, Forbidden Island

hubby is out getting ice cream for us to indulge on as we play! lol

I cleaned 2 years of shum from my kitchen sink, took 3 breaks to accomplish. angered for it used to be a 1-2-3 job, and I missed a few spots

I worked all day, but Fridays are always kind of fun We had a pep rally for our football team because they are in the playoffs, as well as our volleyball and cross country teams. Our golf team already won the state championship this year. Sports are huge. I was up at 4:15 this morning for some reason, so I was exhausted when I got home today and took about an hour nap. Since then I've been uploading layouts and spending some time in the gallery. Here in a few I am going back to the couch and cuddle with the kiddo and fur babies before I turn in for the night.

I am MELTING ... that is what I am doing this weekend! There are storms and hot, humid weather forecast for us this weekend and I am trying to scrap pretty Christmas sparkly pages with sweat running down my back and hubby wants to get a load of rubbish ready to go to the dump and needs my help!! Why oh why TODAY! But still, it could be worse!

My sis-in-law, niece, and great-niece came over this morning at 10 am for a craft day. My daughter came over at 1:30 pm. My son was here, but he was gaming. Everyone left at 5:00 pm except for my daughter and she left about 30 minutes ago.

Now I'm checking the forum and then I'm going to scrap!

Before I start dinner, I am going to sit down with a green tea and browse thru the gallery which is exploding with new layouts. I know this is going to inspire me to want to scrap so I have a feeling that I'll be sitting down after dinner at the computer to scrap a page or two as we continue to catch up on Blacklist.

LOL, all serious-but-joking aside, my plan for the evening involved a little candy (fun-size Heath bar; I've been on a Heath kick lately and IDK why), a little TV (seriously, I just finished The Blacklist and just started Marriage Boot Camp), and a lotta scrapping! Today I was mostly around the house. I really need to dig up my dahlia tubers, but it gets dark so early now that I just haven't had a chance. (Yesterday I dug up/composted all my beds and my 2 big planters. I ran out of time for my dahlias, which need a little more finesse than literally ripping stuff out of the dirt.)

I spent most of the day entering transactions into Quicken, a job I had not done since June or so. I got done through late October. I want to scrap this weekend but I also need to make some little skirts for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. We also need to pack our shoe boxes.

Where did the day go? Homework, deciding on DYD, thinking out plans for Christmas. I'm a little frustrated with school. I sensed something was going on -- my professor is leaving before my classes are done. It's been a recovery week for me as so much has happened the last couple weeks.

We have a lot of fun with that game. I like that it is a collaborative game, so that we all get to play together instead of against one another.

I woke up with a major headache, so I didn't accomplish much today other than a little laundry and some research. My hubby went to the beach house (3 hour drive) to winterize and do some mowing and whatnot. He got there and called to complain that I didn't get the key back from my brother. Uh... nope. I had loaned my brother my key so he could go for a weekend back in the summer. I got the key back (it was my pink Hello Kitty key) AND we'd gone to the beach last month and Tim had his key then. So I don't know what the heck he did with his key in the last month, but he got down there and didn't have one. He was only able to mow the lawn and then had to come home. So he's in a real good mood.

We went out and grabbed pizza and are having a quiet evening.

I had a day of vacation from work yesterday (Friday). I don't know why I save so many until the end of the year ... I still have 7 more to use up before 12/31.

I had a heavenly hour massage in the AM and then hubs and I went out for dinner yesterday early eve. We were back home before dark (man, we are getting OLD!) He slept the evening away in his LazyBoy and I scrapped. Perfect start to the weekend!

We could use some of that rain this way. We've been dealing with wildfires here. They are only a few miles from our house. The smoke was so bad yesterday we couldn't even go outside. Today it has cleared out and we were able to go outside for a walk. It's supposed to be code purple tomorrow and Monday...basically the worst air quality rating you can get. It's been so dry here and there is no rain in sight.

We just did schoolwork yesterday and hung out at home. I did go grocery shopping.
Today we cleaned and are now just enjoying some downtime while the little kids nap.
The first few days of the week were CRAZY, so I'm glad to just be hangin' out at home.

My son and husband have been gone on a guys weekend since yesterday. Campus tour at Michigan yesterday and Michigan State football game today. My daughter is in the midst of a dance performance weekend. I saw her dance one piece last night and will see three tonight. She's been gone all day with class, tech rehearsal and the performance later. The theater is about a block and a half from our house, so I'm going to walk over when they do tech to get some photos.

Other than that... I've spent a lot of quality time with the dog.

We could use some of that rain this way. We've been dealing with wildfires here. They are only a few miles from our house. The smoke was so bad yesterday we couldn't even go outside. Today it has cleared out and we were able to go outside for a walk. It's supposed to be code purple tomorrow and Monday...basically the worst air quality rating you can get. It's been so dry here and there is no rain in sight.
