or really not funny at all???

lol
my car died again yo!! I had just got it back friday? i don't remember... didn't drive it much this weekend- took it out yesterday.. and flllllllb. i think someone should buy me a new car. ^_^ this is getting a smidge tad ridiculous. i dunno when i'll hear back today- or what the damage will be this time. but oye.

oh, La, that is not funny at all!! I am so sorry--I hate car trouble!!

I hope it something easily and inexpensively fixed!

seriously? again?
so sorry...I hope it's something very small. I know, once they get passed a certain age, all the little things (and big) start going. Kind of like people I guess!

they just called.. $350.. which puts me at a total of 500 within a week.. and i still have that other 450 dollar thing to fix :p displeased. but there's nothing i can do about it.. LOL it's an old car- and these things happen right?
just fabulous timing mr car .. fabulous :p

grrr cars are so annoying and cost so much mine is back in there cause it failed the mot on saturday for a stupid part that cost £4

What's broken on it? I wish I could send Nate over to fix it. We're lucky he's so handy or we'd have HAD to buy a new car long ago. I swear he knows that old Altima in and out now. How frustrating! Good luck with the repairs!

I know...I told you about the $6000 in one year on my old van...the one that wasn't even worth $2000. When you're doing it a little here and there though, you don't think about just dumping it and putting that money into a newer car. If it had been $6000 all at once, that baby would be buried by now!

oh no La! Ugg, Car maintenance is the worst, especially when it comes at bad times!

OH NO!!! :(

We have two trucks. Both are '95s. The suburban needs a new air conditioning and something else. It's like $3,000. Yeah...we got lucky and the air worked after they charged it, but we still think it's leaking. Just last week, it stopped working again. Praying we can make it until next summer. It's not like we have an extra $3,000 in our back pocket. LOL!

Oh grrrrr...that SUCKS! So sorry that this all happened so close in time - sometimes it just feels you can't catch a break if you tried. Hopefully this is it for you - is this like the third thing because I swear things come in 3's, so if you've had 3 big things you should be set for a while! :) Hugs.

LA its to bad your not close to CT, my hubby is a mechanic and would fix it for free LOL
and that sucks about the car;|

Awww, sorry to hear that La. I hope you get all of those issues worked out. I hate old cars because of the repairs that can be costly but, boy do I love not having a monthly car payment!

it's the distributor-- well it was the first time but he just did the cap & rotor friday- thinking that'd be it.. now it's the whole shebang. >< he should totally deduct the first job from this one since he flubbed up technically :p

the other one is the intake manifold gasket-- cheap parts-- 6 hrs of labour cause my car is weird? i guess.. (94 altima)... so pllllllb. LOL I need the car to run, just poopy.

and debra.... i refuse to add up how much $$ i've been putting into this beast LOL i just dont want to think about the total the past year or so. its getting up there.

ps i am close to CT-- but not close enough to coast my car there LOL.. im in RI

That's so awful. It such a tough situation when you can't afford a new car, and your old one is falling apart, piece by piece.

I always felt so anxious when I drove my old Tercel, it was nickle-and-diming us so badly. It got to a point that our mechanics wouldn't even charge me for the minor adjustments to the timing since we had spent so much on that little car. They were fabulous though and always tried to get reconditioned parts to save us money. I'm so glad we are past those days. In the end, the gas tank gage was broken, so I never knew how close I was to running out of gas (and was stranded 2 times), it barely made it over 80 kph (and the unofficial speed limit on the freeway was 130!), and the timing went off every 10 days or so and I could barely get it running in order to get it over to the mechanics.

Ugh, that's really not so funny! Sorry that it's back in the shop again so soon! Definitely suggest the deduction of the first job.... couldn't hurt to ask right? Hmph! I actually had to take in my 2009 tonight for some weird shimmy thing it's doing. We bought it used with 50K miles on it, so it's been well used already, but I still was hoping not to have repairs on such a new vehicle. We're pretty sure it's the rotors for the brakes on the front. Let's hope it's not expensive!

ok, car issues just suck. hope that works out for you soon!

but i gotta say, in your original post, i LOVE LOVE 'smidge tad'... made me smile. :)

lol i say lots of silly things ^_^ usually i get teased for them.. so i'll take the smile heh

thanks girlies.. i feel better now that ive gotten my cranky out :p they didnt get the parts in by this afternoon so hopefully they getthem tomorrow morning .
