Veterans Day/Remembrance Day | Pad Patter 11.11

We were in Colorado these past weeks visiting my daughter and her husband, who is in the Air Force. We were lucky enough to watch him march in the Colorado Springs Veterans parade. It is one of the largest Veterans parades in the USA.

I'm a daughter of an Army veteran and the former wife of an Air Force veteran. My elder son, actually a civilian, has spent 7 years total in Iraq and Afghanistan so I do consider him a civilian-veteran.

One interesting thing that has come up in genealogy, is the my xh's extensive Virginia family had veterans on both sides of the Civil War.
