So it's bedtime over here, but no idea wether i'm able to fall alseep... I'm pretty nervous for tomorrow...

Our little princess is getting ear-tubes... Lina had about 8 ear infection (otitis) being only 17 months old!! The tubes and the Minor surgery won't be a problem, but scared as h*** for the aneastesia/narcose!!! I've never ever been in the hospital myself (except when giving birth) One of us can go with her and i don't think it's going to be me!! But she's been all over her mommy the past week, so if she insists I will have to go and be the best mom i can be... But so nervous already!! The other sad thing is, she asks for her bottle each day when she wakes up, but she can't have any food... We plan to feed her tonight, but scared she doesn't want it!

*sigh* my heart just aches for our little girl and just hope everything will go smooth!! My mom gave me some organic pills to calm down (no dope, lol) and just hope it will set in quick now!!! Any good thoughts would be much appreciated :)

Oh, you poor thing. I'm send prayers that everything goes well and that you are able to stay calm and that she'll sail through everything without any problems. :)

Definitely will be sending some prayers and good thoughts that all goes well. My son had tubes put in a couple of years ago and it was hard to let him go back for the anesthesia. He did so well though and the procedure is usually very quick. Hope you get some rest tonight and that all goes well.

oh that's so hard! Ezra had to go back in for something when he was just like 2 months and the anesthesia is soooooooooooo scary!!! I am praying that everything goes well!!

Awww honey..that is so hard! It makes a momma's heart ache to feel so out of control, depending on the care of others and of medicines like that. I pray that everything goes smoothly! And that Lina recovers swiftly!! :beat

Sending my positive thoughts your way. :hug I know how scary it is to have your child go through surgery. Kids are resilient, so I have a feeling Lina will be just fine. I hope the organic pills work and you can get some sleep. Stay strong!

Oh, prayers going up for you Petra!! That is difficult, but I'm sure it will be okay. My son had that done too, and I know several people that have also had tubes, and it has always went smoothly. The drugs was what scared me about it too though.

well it's done!!! I fed Lina around 1.30AM...it was hard trying to wake her, but she took her whole bottle and went back to sleep again. Her bags was packed, we had something to drink ourselves, were showered and dressed when we woke her up at 6.45. Washed & dressed and left right away (so she never had time to ask for her bottle...poor thing, haha) Drove to the hospital and they asked us to put on her pj's... some parent in the same room (there was another little boy in her room) thought it would be nice to have some coffee, but as soon as Lina saw the cup, she wanted it or her bottle!!! Geesh man! Anyways... we went playing in the hallway to distract her and forgot about it quickly... He put the cup away when we came back in! LOL

They explained what was about to happen and they came to pick her & daddy up an hour after we've gotten there... I was kind of relieved she simply kissed me goodbye and didn't cried for me, guess she might have felt my fears...I dunno, but was just glad she didn't! The little boy in the same room, went before her...so I choked up a little when the room was empty and just two moms were sitting there, waiting for their DH's and baby's! I went outside for some air, cause the 2 baby's from the first room came back and were both crying... It broke my heart and thinking that could be my baby...I had to get out of there!!! I came back about ten minutes later and the little ones, weren't crying anymore... I had a little chat with the mommy's boy and 5 minutes later her DH and son came back into the room. The first thing the guy said, was: 'You're girl is also doen and they'll be here quick!' Yikes... Ok mommy, don't cry!!! LOL

He was right...about 2/3 minutes I heard her calling for her mommy at the end of the hallway. I stood by the door and she was all happy to see me and cuddled up against me. She had big tears rolling down her cheek, but daddy said she had been such a big girl!!! She got a popsicle (icecream) and some juice... she was a bit cranky and not herself yet...but was slowly coming back. We watched some tv and she got this cute stuffed animal from us, for being such a good girl...She looooved it as it's from one of her fav characters 'pip' (from woezel & pip...so so so cute!). About 45 mins after coming back we were allowed to go home...got her dressed and left!

I'm sooo proud at our little girly and she did great. We stayed up for a bit and went to bed around noon... Uhm yeah, all three of us and slept for 3 hours straight! Guess we all needed it...was so nice! And our little princess is her happy little self again! <3 Just glad it's over!

So glad it went well. It was probably harder on you than on her!

Glad it all went well.
I had tubes in my ears as a child, and often. I even had to have them when I was in 6th grade.
I don't even really remember any of it. I have vague memories of the 6th grade one, but that's it.

Yay! I'm glad that it went well! Now you can sleep well tonight! :)

Oh yay! I'm so happy to read it went so well sweetie! I hope she's feeling even better today! And you too!! :beat
