Oh my gosh guys...so excited!

I printed off a bunch of stuff from Jaimee's latest storyteller (Hadley) and am about to go decorate this week.

Isn't it pretty? I'll share it here and in the gallery once I get it decorated.

it's SO cute! what do you use to print? it looks like sticker paper. do you use the cameo? can't wait to see it! (you actually have me watching YouTube planner videos now!)

Yay! So fun! I'm glad you got it! Can't wait to see your decorated pages!

Squeee! I'm in love!!!!

I'm not 100% happy with my page..but I still love it.

I printed journal cards from the kit and punched holes using a regular office punch and scissors. It works fine but I wouldn't want to use this method for large quantaties. For a couple of journaling cards a week though it's a simple enough process. I used the journal cards for my meal plans this week but I think in the future I'll use the notes section along the left for meal planning and use the journal cards for extra notes.

I'm really not happy with how much of the background color is showing through. I didn't cut my paper strips quite wide enough so there's a bit of red showing around some of those. Also when I started I had it in my head that I would cover the red with washi tape but I wasn't happy with how that looked so I just relied on what I had printed out. In the future I'll print longer strips with papers from whatever kit I'm working with to cover the headers.

I really love the little bullet point dots I made using some of Jaimee's background paper.

I'm sure this will continue to change as I use it more and figure out what works best for me. I'm seriously happy with what I created though!https://the-lilypad.com//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

I did use sticker paper. I picked up a pack of Avery white sticker paper at Hobby Lobby on Monday (when I foolishly set the planner down..lol). It's acid and lignin free which might be overkill for a planner but until I figure out if this is going to be more of just a planning tool or more of a memory keeping tool I thought I'd play it safe.

LOL I've found those planner videos to be seriously addicting. So many cool ideas I've been seeing there!

eta: I have a Silhouette Portrait. Since I'm printing out everything on a regular printer I find the smaller size to be all I need. I of course dream of owning a wide format printer and Cameo at some point though. :)

sarah ... i'm SO not a hybrid scrapper anymore. BUT you are a very good enabler. i went to hobby lobby today with 40% off coupon in hand. they were sold out of the planners, but i got a sticky note set with the coupon. i'll go back next week to seed if i can snag one (my daughter has PT 2x a week right around the corner so I'm near there often). i doubt i will be printing and cutting since i don't have the cameo or portrait ... but i will use up all the little paper scrapping stuff i have from the old days. i am going to use mine for school since i'm going to be a student for the next two years (online). and will mix in some fun stuff, family activities and appointments too.

i can't believe you convinced this 100% digi girl to want one ... but you did. now i'll have to sign up for Lilypad Letters with the Planner theme!

Ok so I'm seriously addicted. I just finished retroactive page for the first week of July using Renne's planner kit. I'm totally in love. Also Jenn I did this with scissors because I wasn't able to fit everything I wanted to use within the registration marks for my Silhouette and I didn't want to use more than one sticker sheet. It helps that I find working with scissors relaxing though. I watched TV, drank my coffee and decorated my planner this morning. A much better way to spend a Saturday morning than cleaning house (which I desperately need to do).

Jenn, I hope you're able to find your planner when you go back. I'm not regretting the decision to buy in the least. I'm continuously on the search for the perfect planner for me so I'm really hopeful that I found it. Also good luck with going back to school, that's the perfect motivation for keeping a planner..lol. I kind of miss school because of the rigid schedule as funny as that sounds.

your retroactive page is adorable sarah. love that forever joy july kit!

and guess what?!?! i got one... Hobby Lobby still didn't have one, but my daughter was game to cross the bridge and visit a Michael's that had them. They had 3 out of the 5 available. My #1 (gold dots) wasn't there, but they had the black w/gold heart. So excited to jump into this ...

The great idea I picked out here was using the journal cards as meal planners. What fun -I could even move and reuse... I'm looking for a way to be more organized with meals and meal planning, but keep it pretty simple and I think you just provided the answer. I can even decorate them like little act cards. Oh fun fun.

Welcome to the Dark Side :giggle

I haven't posted many pages of mine... these are the only 2 in the gallery here, but I LOVE playing with my digi goodies in such a tangible way. I NEVER thought of myself as "hybrid", but I honestly love it!

Woot! Glad you got your planner. I'm seriously in love with it. So much fun!

For tools you don't really need much. A pair of scissors, a paper trimmer, some adhesive and pens. That's it really. Maybe a ruler if you're concerned about lining things up perfectly. For my first 5 years doing hybrid I fussy cut everything. I honestly found it relaxing to do scissors work when I was watching TV or listening to a podcast.

Agreed. I actually have a silhouette but find it easier just to cut them my hand. This is mainly b/c I have a space issue and have to pull the stupid thing out every time and it rarely lines up just right anyway. It's a frustrating device IMO, LOL.

I do use sticker paper but also use cardstock/adhesive... just depends on my mood :). Oh, and I'm a pen fanatic! Love my colored pens, but that's an admitted weakness, hehe.

these look amazing! hats off to you girl! you are totally a motivator for people like me sitting on teh fence. My goal is to do one hybrid project at least! ( in terms of timelines ...i just keep going from this week...to this month... to this year! :))
