Unzipping kits/Organizing Tips?

I want to use Bridge. Do you like it?
Yes. Once I forced myself to stop using the folders, it is much easier to navigate the folders for finding what I want. Depending on your organization though, lol. Hence my problem.

I do utilize the favorites section for quick access to what I need. Then from there scroll through and expand what I want. I also was primarily a one kit type scrapper but this way I can pull from other folders rather easily.

@Kat, you can manually unzip your files. I hated having the zips go to the trash when they unzip automatically cause I DO save them. Over the years, I either forgot to unzip some or the opened ones got lost...ran away???...so I now handle them manually. You make that choice in SAFARI preferences. Who knew? It's the "Remove download list items"

I have all downloads go to my download folder and then sort them by type. I also keep some folders IN the Download Folder. You can see my most recent zip files. When they are opened, they'll most likely move up to the Folder section automatically. I clear my zips every or every other day and if they are from digi products or Fonts, the zip will go into my zip folder on an EHD but alias'd to my desktop.

I've got to look into this!

I have mine similar to Anne, with new stuff in a folder called "New" inside the Lilypad folder. I also keep each designer's stuff inside it's own folder, then each kit in it's own folder inside the designer's folder. One thing I have been doing lately, is that I check properties of the preview image, in order to figure out when something was created. Then, I add that to the beginning of the kit name, so that the kits are sorted by date they were created (not when I bought them.) I keep the newest BYOC all together inside a separate folder inside the Lilypad folder. Each month, when the new BYOC comes out, I copy/paste the kit previews from the previous month to that month's BYOC folder, then put each kit into their designer's kit. That way, I can search my BYOC folder to see what I have from say, March 2016's BYOC and know that I have Sahlin's kit, Paislee's journal cards and Sara Gleason's paper (for example) SO, I can use them together since I know that they coordinate colorwise. I will attach a photo showing some of this:
