Has anyone read this? I just finished reading it this morning and it was so good. I know it came out in 2010 and I heard lots of great things about it, but hadn't made time to read it. It was fascinating, awe-inspiring, sad, and hopeful.

I read it, and totally agree with you. At times it was quite depressing, reading all the stuff that he had been through, but it was also uplifting to know that he had gone through all those things and made it out okay. Not to say that he didn't have some problems, but he came out on top in the end.

It's been on my To-Read list forever, but I still haven't started it. Funny enough, I saw a list of movies that are coming out in 2014 and they are making this into a movie, so I said to myself that I have to read it before the movie comes out.

Yes, it was definitely depressing at times and just unbelievable to me.

That is how I was, Karen, I had checked it out from the library a couple of times even, but always got distracted. And yes, definitely read before the movie.

That's been on my to-read list as well since I saw her promoting the book on talk shows a few years ago. Glad to hear it was good, even it was difficult.
