ugh... a little vent

Good luck Amy!! This kind of stuff always makes me so mad because the bad guy always seems to worm his way out of making things right. I hope you get some great advice from the lawyer and you end up getting your money back.

HUGS!

as far as lawyers go, check with a local law school to maybe get a bit of cheaper advice... also try the 2-1-1 directory see if anything comes up in your state - if you aren't aware, 211 is a United Way service that provides FREE referrals etc for food, housing, health care, counseling, and employment issues - give it a shot...

oh hunny I am so sorry!!!!!!
WE had this SAME thing happen to us in August!!! We are sure the landlords were pocketing our rent $$ for over a year, then the house went into foreclosure. We had like 2 weeks to get out! It was horrible! I can't imagine doing that if we had a property we were renting out. But on the plus side we we were only paying $1200 a month. I cant imagine paying over 30k!!!! We decided to save $$ while we both go back to school and move into a little apartment. I didn't want to be in the same boat with another landlord in a year. Good luck sweetie!!
