Over the years, i have learnt that this is one of those foods that really divides people - it's a love or hate thing. Where do you sit in the debate? If you don't eat meat, what's your starring dish for the holidays?

I've always liked it - we use turkey mince (ground meat) a lot (it's part of tonight's meatloaf), we use turkey legs in the slowcooker as pull apart meat for bread rolls, and xmas as a kid on one side of the family, it always featured turkey.

I like turkey, but white meat only, please :) Not sure what we are having this year because we just arrived at the beach for a few days and will be eating out! No cooking for this chick this year!! We usually do turkey for Thanksgiving and ham at Christmas.

I like turkey... but really just this one time of year. I never make it at any other time. To be honest, I'm not very good at roasting turkey, so maybe if I was more successful at it, we would have turkey more often.

I love turkey, white or dark. My sister had the turkey in brine today (this year she was using a bunch of things, but I know she said apple cider and fresh rosemary and then listed a bunch of other things). She was taking it out of the brine and drying it off, because she was reading that it makes a crispier crust if you do that. We'll see what it tastes like tomorrow! She usually does the turkey prep, and in previous years she has followed Alton Brown's advice and it always turns out nicely. Sometimes we have both turkey and ham. My mom cooked a ham today for sandwiches while we were prepping tomorrow's dinner, so I know there will be some ham leftover from that.

Looove turkey...white and dark meat and love roasted turkey with dressing and cranberry sauce...yum!

Turkey is okay, the first meal or two. It's the leftovers that I get tired of. Love smoked turkey but we decided not to do that this year.

Yep! This is what we are trying too! I also saw that you can stick it in a 500 degree over for 30 minutes for the same effect as drying it out. I'm thinking that's what I'll try tomorrow.

We like turkey. We have it at Canadian Thanksgiving, American Thanksgiving, and usually one or two other times through the year. This year I'm determined to use my turkey up! Broth, and turkey noodle soup along with sandwiches are on the menu.

I like turkey. HD doesn't, but we always have to have two stuffings: one meat with chestnuts and one bread with cranberries. They fight over the stuffing, then I make turkey soup.
With two daughters-in-law who are both mostly vegetarian, I add a couple extra Greek veggie dishes, like okra in tomatoes sauce or peas and artichokes.
Thanksgiving for us was in October though.
I'll do a duck for Christmas I think.

MY dream for Thanksgiving!!! Have fun!

thanksgiving dinner and turkey is one of my favorite meals. love love love!

We love turkey! But since it's now the 2 of us, we make only a breast. I brine it for a couple of days, then cook it in the grill. It usually takes about 2 hours. I haven't cooked one in the oven for the past 3 years.

I'm neutral about turkey alone, but I've always been a big fan of the traditional Thanksgiving feast, especially the stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, and pumpkin pie.

We do eat a lot of deli turkey sandwiches in my house though.

Thanksgiving is the only time of the year that we eat turkey. I have never hosted Thanksgiving before so I've never made one... but my husband got one from work this past week so I guess I will have to learn!

I like it. White meat. We occasionally have it other times during the year as well. We also have it for Christmas. Back when we had the bigger dinners, we sometimes had a standing rib roast along with turkey, but this year it was only my grandma joining us, so we just had the turkey.

Love turkey. Especially for sandwiches. We got a turkey that had no hormones or antibiotics, etc. A "healthy" turkey. It was expensive and only about 10 pounds. But we had a gift card from my husband's work that paid for it. Anyway...I was really impressed with how juicy it was compared to all the other turkeys I've ever baked over the years. Since all our kids have married and moved away we usually just bake up a turkey breast. But this turkey we got was a whole one. Our dinner was really nice today. :) We even made homemade dinner rolls...my great grandma's recipe that we love so much.

I like it. White meat preferable, but will eat both. The left overs are the best part! My 8 year old really loved it, tried everything, and asked for leftovers! It was so funny, and I think I enjoyed my meal so much more seeing him really enjoy it. I can cook it, and have before, but usually my Mother cooks. I'm the side dish maker then. :) I will cook it if I have it, but don't usually buy it, except if for a holiday. I did somehow get a free one this year... so i will be making it at some point.

Love turkey. Most years even if we go somewhere else for T-day, I bake a turkey. However, I won't be doing that this year. My dd wants ham for Christmas, but I might also get a turkey breast.

I like turkey, but I can also do without it for Thanksgiving. If it's just Darren and I for Thanksgiving, we skip the turkey and cook a ham instead. If we're visiting family and they're cooking the turkey, we'll also take a ham to contribute. This year we hosted, and I cooked both a ham AND a turkey!

This year I bought a roaster oven to use since oven space gets tight with two big meat entrees cooking at once. It was seriously the easiest and best tasting turkey I have ever cooked! The roaster kept all the juices inside the unit and basically basted the turkey on its own. I just had to keep checking the temperature until it was done. I will never cook a turkey without one again!

I like turkey. I usually season mine with Jamaican jerk seasoning & chili peppers. Since we always go to Tahoe on Thanksgiving, we eat Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant. There's a Sizzler in a remote town on the way home. It's pleasant & decorated nicely. It's our favorite for Thanksgiving ever since the 1st time we went & the waitress brought out pumpkin pie as a surprise for the kids. We went on Thursday & I was telling hubby that I know it must sound cheesy to some people, but I really look forward to it. There's something for everyone & the kids love it. We had a great time. I had steak & jumbo shrimp with a baked potato, hubby had Malibu chicken with shrimp, Brody had the salad bar because he LOVES the chowder, & Jamie had chicken tenders with fries. That was our Thanksgiving dinner & we loved it. I don't miss the turkey. I did buy a pumpkin pie today though!
