Do you remember playing tug of war as a child? Do you still play as an adult?

I don't remember much about playing it myself other than falling over and being r=dragged along the ground.

I do have many memories of tug of war games at the big Steam Rallies we attended throughout my childhood. My favourite is when a steam engine was on one side and every willing man from the audience on the other. The steam engine won.

I think we played tug of war in our PE class in elementary school.

The last time I played was with my kids to complete a scavenger hunt challenge.

I'm sure I played it with friends and siblings growing up, but I don't have any specific memories. I do remember playing it with my own kids, for sure. I liked to change the name to Tug of Love or Tug of Peace.

Yes, I played tug of war as a kid, and then with my kids and grandkids. The thing we played most as kids was "war" ... nothing like a bunch of kids running around hitting each other with sticks. We also played a lot of jail tag, jump rope, hopscotch, soft/baseball, American football, and we rode our bikes everywhere. Soccer wasn't a thing when I was a kid (1950s/1960s).

I remember playing that in gym class a couple times as a kid and also I think we played at a church picnic a time or two also.
