My whole week is off kilter.:duh
If I made the calendar, the beginning of the month would always be on MONDAYS..
bhahha:groan
between Halloween being yesterday (which made it feel like Friday yesterdaY) and the beginning of the month on Tuesday, I am all flustered?:crazy3
Anyone else get mixed up like this? or should I just smile and not do a post like this again..bhahahhaa
:backing

Well ... I woke up to a power outage this morning. So I am off kilter too. I used the iPad and my iPhone as a hotspot for a little while. The power company expects another 2 hours of outage - so the hubby got the generator going so we have internet/computer access (he works from home!) and then the very next thing he hooked up was the Coffee maker. ahh.

I feel a little more human now. :compcoffee

November first is always strange to me. It's a very light switch kind of day.... Halloween/October - OFF, Thanksgiving/November - ON. My goal today is to de-Halloween the house (and the yard) and put out the Thanksgiving stuff.

As far as the day of the week... that's just off for me this week. Clara didn't go to school on Thursday (dance performance) and had Friday off, Alex was gone to NYC with school until Saturday and he's off school this Friday. My week makes no sense. Throw in there trick or treating last night and the Cubs game tonight and I don't know which end is up!

I told Reed this morning it was like Monday, part 2. Not really bad, but with trick or treating, etc, last night, and then waking up to flip a calendar page it was a little off feeling for me too!

My youngest started to feel sick while out trick or treating last night. She didn't care about the candy, she wanted to go home. She stayed home today with an upset tummy and she didn't even eat any of her candy. :( So, today is definitely as bad as a second Monday.

aww, poor thing. i hope she feels better soon!

I think I would make the 1st be a Monday too, that would be perfect actually.
Can we sign a petition maybe?

I had a vacation day from work yesterday so today really IS like my Monday!!

Yep. And Tuesday is the worst day for me to start the month. Wednesday starts never bother me, but Tuesday. And I do think a lot of it is Halloween last night and being off in our nightly routine.
Matthew's teacher didn't send home homework folders last night (yeah!), but that means she forgot to send the school lunch calendar. V

This is completely me....

My whole week is feeling off as well. Tuesday is usually my sleeping/catching-up-on-rest day because I don't have to pick Kennedy up after school. And after Tim's weekend (Sat/Sun)(cleaning/home projects) and my weekend (Sun/Mon)(doing errands), I'm usually wiped out. But my grandma threw a wrench into things because even though we did some of her errands yesterday, she decided she'd rather go to do the big shopping today because of Fred Meyer's senior discount being today (the first Tuesday of the month you can get 10% off any Kroger products). So ugh. Tim just shook his head when he heard that because it isn't like it is going to make a significant savings to do her shopping today, but she's set in her ways and shes doesn't listen to reason. He told me to tell her he'd pay her the difference. :giggle So to kick off the month today I'll be fighting against the tide of old people doing their grocery shopping. :giggle

The image in my head right now is hilarious. I can just see you with a cart, getting so tired of moving one step at a time, that you throw Grammy in the shopping cart, and have her grabbing things as you run up and down the aisles, mowing people over.
Ok, so that's a little extreme, but wouldn't it be kinda fun?

It's not that far off! LOL. That would be fun! It isn't like I'm the fastest person ever, but it is definitely challenging to walk that slow. :) Last time, I would race over to get things and bring them back to my grandma and the cart. The other tough thing is that she doesn't create a list, she just likes to wander down the aisles, which means we have a whole ton of backtracking. :giggle

I'm all out of sorts because I usually work on tuesdays. It TOTALLY feels like a monday to me! My office decided to close for Halloween & today- so I should use my extra day wisely- but I think I'm going to accomplish very little! :D :D :D

Well yes. Somehow when I woke up this morning I thought it was Sunday, not Tuesday, so I guess my brain thinks Halloween should be on a Saturday night.. Plus we have the kids staying with us while their floors are sanded and finished in their house so we are a bit off kilter to begin with. Hubby and son work Saturdays' so its only logical that the days of the week don't make sense, right?

I'm always confused what day it is. This thread will help cement that the 1st was Tuesday and today is Tuesday. DH and I are usually both confused, often different directions. Halloween was nothing different for us this year. We are on a busy street with no trick or treaters. So the biggest change was all the challenges. And a different focus for scrapbooking this month.
